**Fixed**

- **A trend held back by `max_results` could silently never fire.** Its
  baseline (EMA) was advanced as if it had been reported, so on the next run
  it no longer read as accelerating. Topics cut by the cap now keep their
  previous baseline and re-evaluate on the same footing next run.
- **Baseline was persisted before the push.** If `push_data` failed, the
  baseline had already absorbed trends the client never saw. It is now
  persisted only after the push succeeds.
