## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Google Hotels Prices Scraper

Give a city and your stay dates. Get one row per hotel from Google
Hotels: the nightly price, the total price with taxes, the currency,
stars, rating, review count, address, coordinates and a link.

- **Input:** one or more locations, a check-in date and a check-out
  date.
- **Output:** one dataset row per hotel, priced for exactly your
  dates.
- **Price:** $5.00 per 1,000 hotels returned. You pay only for rows
  in the dataset.

It reads Google's own page data with plain HTTPS requests. There is
no browser, so runs are fast and use little memory.

### Input example

```json
{
  "locations": ["Paris", "Lisbon"],
  "checkInDate": "2026-12-04",
  "checkOutDate": "2026-12-06",
  "maxResults": 50
}
```

The field names match other Google Hotels Actors on the Store
(`locations`, `checkInDate`, `checkOutDate`, `adults`, `currency`,
`languageCode`, `countryCode`, `maxResults`, `requestTimeoutSecs`,
`proxyConfiguration`), so you can switch without changing your input.

If you leave the dates empty, check-in is 30 days from today and the
stay is 2 nights.

### Output example

One real row, from a run on 2026-10-02 (photo URL shortened):

```json
{
  "location": "Lisbon",
  "query": "hotels in Lisbon from December 4, 2026 to December 6, 2026",
  "name": "Lisbon Garden Guest House",
  "entityId": "ChoIn66MlPfKmar6ARoNL2cvMTFkXzIwbnkzcRAB",
  "url": "https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/ChoIn66MlPfKmar6ARoNL2cvMTFkXzIwbnkzcRAB",
  "type": "guest_house",
  "hotelClass": "3-star hotel",
  "stars": 3,
  "rating": 4.4,
  "reviewCount": 123,
  "currency": "USD",
  "pricePerNight": 60.24,
  "pricePerNightText": "$60",
  "pricePerNightWithTaxes": 72.86,
  "pricePerNightWithTaxesText": "$73",
  "totalPrice": 120.47,
  "taxesAndFees": 25.25,
  "totalPriceWithTaxes": 145.72,
  "totalPriceText": "$120",
  "totalPriceWithTaxesText": "$146",
  "checkInDate": "2026-12-04",
  "checkOutDate": "2026-12-06",
  "nights": 2,
  "adults": 2,
  "latitude": 38.7244477,
  "longitude": -9.1399697,
  "address": "R. Gomes Freire 64",
  "countryCode": "PT",
  "description": null,
  "website": "http://www.lisbongarden.pt/",
  "thumbnailUrl": "https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/...",
  "requestedCurrency": "USD",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-02T08:44:51+00:00"
}
```

A field Google does not show for a hotel is `null`. Unclassified
properties have no `stars`.

### How it works

1. For each location it searches Google Hotels for your dates.
2. To find more hotels, it runs variant searches for the same place
   and dates ("5 star hotels", "boutique hotels", "hotels with
   pool" and so on), and keeps each hotel once.
3. It keeps a row only if Google priced it for the dates you asked.
   Google shows the dates it priced; rows for other dates are
   skipped and counted in the run's status message.
4. A blocked or failed page is retried up to three times, each time
   with a new proxy session and a longer wait.
5. The run fails only if every page failed. Otherwise it finishes
   with a status message that counts good, blocked and empty pages.

### Use it from an AI agent

Agents that use Apify's MCP server can find and run this Actor like
any other Store Actor. Give it `locations` and, if you want, the two
dates. Each hotel returned is one billed result: $0.005.

### Price

Pay per result: **$5.00 per 1,000 hotels** in the dataset. Apify
platform usage is included in that price. A hotel that is skipped,
for example because Google priced other dates, is not billed.

If you set a maximum cost per run, the Actor stops when it reaches
it.

### Limits

These are real limits. Read them before you buy.

- **Guests: 2 adults.** Google's public results are priced for 2
  adults. The `adults` input is accepted for compatibility, but every
  row is priced for 2 adults and says `"adults": 2`.
- **Currency follows the proxy's country.** Google ignores the
  currency parameter on this page. Each row reports the currency
  Google used in `currency`. To get euros, for example, choose a
  euro-area proxy country.
- **About 200 to 250 hotels per location.** Google's "next page" is
  not a link, so the Actor finds more hotels with variant searches.
  A test for London on 2026-10-02 found 240 unique hotels in 30
  searches. If you need more, split a city into areas, e.g.
  "Shoreditch, London" and "Kensington, London".
- **Stays of 1 to 30 nights,** starting today or later.
- **One price per hotel:** the price Google shows on its search
  page. It does not list every booking site's offer.

### What it will not do

- It reads only public, logged-out Google Hotels pages.
- It does not solve CAPTCHAs. A blocked page is retried with a new
  proxy session; if it stays blocked, it is skipped and counted.
- It does not collect personal data. Phone numbers are left out.
  Reviews are counted, not copied.

# Actor input Schema

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Cities, areas or landmarks to search, as you would type them into Google Hotels, e.g. "Paris", "Shibuya, Tokyo", "near Times Square". Each location is searched separately.

## `checkInDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD. Today or later. Leave empty for 30 days from today.

## `checkOutDate` (type: `string`):

YYYY-MM-DD, after check-in, at most 30 nights later. Leave empty for 2 nights after check-in.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Stop a location after this many unique hotels. Each hotel returned is one billed result. A location usually yields up to a few hundred hotels; see the README.

## `adults` (type: `integer`):

Accepted for compatibility with other Google Hotels Actors. Google's public results are priced for 2 adults, and every row says adults: 2.

## `currency` (type: `string`):

Three-letter code, e.g. USD. Sent to Google, but Google picks the currency from the proxy's country. Each row reports the currency actually used.

## `languageCode` (type: `string`):

Google's hl code for hotel names and descriptions, e.g. en, fr, de.

## `countryCode` (type: `string`):

Google's gl code, e.g. us, gb, fr.

## `includeUnpriced` (type: `boolean`):

Off: only hotels with a price for your dates are returned. On: hotels without a price are returned too, with null prices, and each is billed.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

Timeout for one page request. Failed requests are retried with a new proxy session.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is used by default. The proxy country decides the currency. If pages come back blocked, choose the RESIDENTIAL group.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "locations": [
    "Paris"
  ],
  "maxResults": 20,
  "adults": 2,
  "currency": "USD",
  "languageCode": "en",
  "countryCode": "us",
  "includeUnpriced": false,
  "requestTimeoutSecs": 30,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `hotels` (type: `string`):

All hotels found, one item per hotel, as JSON from the run's default dataset.

## `overview` (type: `string`):

The same hotels in the dataset's overview view: photo, name, prices, dates, stars, rating, reviews, address and link.
