## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Shopify Store Products Scraper — every product, price, variant and stock status of any Shopify store

Get the full product list of any Shopify store as a clean table, one row per product: title, vendor, type, tags, price, compare-at price, sale flag, stock, all variants with SKU and price, images, and the dates the product was created and updated. Give it store domains or links. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel or Google Sheets. It reads the product list that Shopify stores share publicly, so it is fast and needs no login.

**Who uses this:** e-commerce teams watching competitors' prices, catalogs and new arrivals; dropshippers and resellers researching what sells; agencies preparing store audits; price-monitoring and repricing tools; analysts sizing a brand; AI agents that need current product data.

### What you get per product

| Field | What it is |
|---|---|
| `store`, `storeName`, `currency` | The store's domain, its name and its currency |
| `productId`, `title`, `handle`, `url` | Who the product is and its link |
| `vendor`, `productType`, `tags`, `tagsText` | Brand, type, and tags as a list and as one cell |
| `description` | The product description as plain text |
| `price`, `priceMax` | Lowest and highest variant price, as numbers |
| `compareAtPrice`, `onSale` | Lowest "compare at" price, and `true` if a variant is marked down |
| `inStock`, `variantCount` | `true` if any variant is available, and how many variants exist |
| `variants` | Every variant: `id`, `title`, `sku`, `price`, `compareAtPrice`, `available` |
| `variant1Title`, `variant1Price` (also 2 and 3) | The first three variants as plain columns, ready for a spreadsheet |
| `optionNames` | The option names, for example `Size`, `Color` |
| `imageUrl`, `images`, `imageCount` | The first image, all images, and how many |
| `publishedAt`, `createdAt`, `updatedAt` | Dates from the store |
| `recordType`, `scrapedAt` | `product` or `collection`, and when the row was collected |

Turn on **Also list the collections** and you also get one free row per collection (`recordType: collection`) with title, link and product count.

### Price

**$0.01 per run + $1 per 1,000 products.** That is two pay-per-event charges: `actor-start` ($0.01) once per run and `result` ($0.001) per product. Collection rows are free. No compute fees on top. The free Apify plan ($5 per month credit) covers about 4,900 products a month at no cost. A run that gets no products from any store is not charged.

### How to use

1. Open the Input tab and add stores: the domain (`allbirds.com`) or the store link. A collection link such as `https://www.allbirds.com/collections/mens` scrapes only that collection.
2. Set **Max products per store**. This is also your cost cap.
3. Click Start. When it is done, open the Output tab and export the table as CSV, JSON or Excel, or send it to Google Sheets with Apify's Google Sheets integration.

### Input examples

The first 500 products of a store:

```json
{ "stores": ["allbirds.com"], "maxProducts": 500 }
```

Two stores, only one collection of each, plus the collection list:

```json
{
    "stores": ["https://www.allbirds.com", "https://www.gymshark.com"],
    "collection": "new-arrivals",
    "maxProducts": 200,
    "includeCollections": true
}
```

A single collection by its link:

```json
{ "stores": ["https://www.allbirds.com/collections/mens"], "maxProducts": 100 }
```

### Output example

```json
{
    "recordType": "product",
    "store": "allbirds.com",
    "storeName": "Allbirds",
    "currency": "USD",
    "productId": "7340901859408",
    "title": "Women's Allbirds Flip Flop - Dusty Pink",
    "handle": "womens-allbirds-flip-flop-dusty-pink",
    "url": "https://www.allbirds.com/products/womens-allbirds-flip-flop-dusty-pink",
    "vendor": "Allbirds",
    "productType": "Shoes",
    "tags": ["allbirds::gender => womens", "allbirds::material => sugar"],
    "description": "Sun on your feet. Comfort underneath. Light, easy, and made for warm weather, these flip flops ...",
    "price": 25,
    "priceMax": 25,
    "compareAtPrice": 50,
    "onSale": true,
    "inStock": false,
    "variantCount": 4,
    "variants": [
        { "id": 42146889039952, "title": "5", "sku": "A12513W050", "price": 25, "compareAtPrice": 50, "available": false },
        { "id": 42146889072720, "title": "6", "sku": "A12513W060", "price": 25, "compareAtPrice": 50, "available": false }
    ],
    "optionNames": ["Size"],
    "imageUrl": "https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1104/4168/files/A12513_26Q2_Allbirds-Flip-Flop-Dusty-Pink_PDP_LEFT.png?v=1774646345",
    "imageCount": 2,
    "publishedAt": "2026-09-25T16:58:13-07:00",
    "createdAt": "2026-03-27T14:03:50-07:00",
    "updatedAt": "2026-09-26T00:27:34-07:00",
    "variant1Title": "5",
    "variant1Price": 25,
    "variant2Price": 25,
    "scrapedAt": "2026-09-26T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

The example is shortened: real rows list every tag, variant and image.

### Limits

- The store must share its product list, which most Shopify stores do. A store that turns it off, protects it with a password, or blocks robots is skipped, and the run log says why.
- Prices are given as the store shows them, in the store's currency (`currency`).
- `inStock` and `available` show whether a variant can be bought. Shopify does not share the number of items in stock.
- The actor keeps to about 2 requests a second per run and retries with a pause. If a store answers 403, turn on **Proxy**.
- Only stores that run on Shopify work. Other shop systems do not have this product list.

### FAQ

**Can I watch a competitor's prices every day?** Yes. Schedule the actor in Apify with the same stores and compare `price` and `compareAtPrice` by `productId` between runs. New products appear with a new `productId` and a recent `createdAt`.

**How can I tell if a website runs on Shopify?** Open `their-domain.com/products.json` in your browser. If you see product data, the actor will work.

**Can I get only new arrivals?** Use the collection input with the store's new-arrivals collection, or sort the table by `createdAt`.

**Can an AI agent use it?** Yes. It works through Apify's API and MCP server. Give it a store and a `maxProducts` limit.

**Something is wrong. What now?** Open an issue on the Issues tab with the store and the input you used. Field requests are welcome.

### Changelog

- **0.1** First release: products, variants, prices, stock, images, dates, collections, flat spreadsheet columns, pay per event.

# Actor input Schema

## `stores` (type: `array`):

One entry per store: the domain (allbirds.com) or a store link (https://www.allbirds.com). A collection link (https://www.allbirds.com/collections/mens) scrapes only that collection.

## `collection` (type: `string`):

Only products of this collection, for every store above. The handle is the last part of a collection link, for example new-arrivals.

## `maxProducts` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many products for each store. You pay per product, so this is also your cost cap.

## `includeCollections` (type: `boolean`):

Adds one extra row per collection of the store (title, link, product count). These rows are free. Their recordType is "collection".

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Leave off unless a store blocks Apify servers (a 403 error). Then turn on Apify Proxy.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "stores": [
    "allbirds.com",
    "https://www.allbirds.com/collections/mens"
  ],
  "maxProducts": 20,
  "includeCollections": false,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": false
  }
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `products` (type: `string`):

One row per product: title, vendor, type, tags, prices, variants, stock, images, dates, link.

## `productsCsv` (type: `string`):

Same rows as CSV for Google Sheets or Excel.
