## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Business Contact Enricher – Email, Phone & Social Finder

Fast, low-cost **business contact enrichment** and **website contact finder** for AI agents, lead-generation pipelines, CRM workflows, MCP tools, and automation.

Give the Actor a list of public business websites or domains. It scans only a few public pages per site and returns structured contact data that machines can consume directly.

### What it finds

- Public business email addresses
- Public phone numbers and telephone links
- LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok profiles
- Contact page and About page URLs
- Company / site name
- Postal addresses found in Organization or LocalBusiness JSON-LD
- Basic website metadata
- Processing status and pages scanned

### Common use cases

- Business contact enrichment
- Email finder for company websites
- Phone number finder
- Social profile finder
- Website contact extraction
- Lead enrichment and lead-data preprocessing
- CRM enrichment and cleanup
- AI-agent and MCP workflows
- Bulk domain enrichment
- First-pass company research

### Why use it

This Actor is designed for inexpensive, high-throughput machine-to-machine workflows:

- Direct HTTP + Cheerio
- No headless browser
- No residential proxy by default
- No LLM or external AI API
- No paid third-party enrichment API
- Only a small number of pages scanned per website
- One structured dataset result per processed website

That makes it useful as a cheap first pass before heavier enrichment tools.

### Example input

```json
{
  "websites": [
    "https://apify.com",
    "stripe.com"
  ],
  "maxPagesPerSite": 3,
  "requestTimeoutSecs": 15,
  "maxConcurrency": 20
}
```

### Example output

```json
{
  "requestedUrl": "https://example.com/",
  "domain": "example.com",
  "finalUrl": "https://example.com/",
  "httpStatus": 200,
  "companyName": "Example Company",
  "emails": ["info@example.com"],
  "phones": ["+1-555-555-5555"],
  "socialProfiles": {
    "linkedin": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/example"],
    "facebook": [],
    "instagram": [],
    "x": [],
    "youtube": [],
    "tiktok": []
  },
  "contactPage": "https://example.com/contact",
  "aboutPage": "https://example.com/about",
  "addresses": [],
  "status": "success",
  "error": null
}
```

### Limitations

A processed website does not guarantee that an email address or phone number will be found. Some websites render contact information only with JavaScript, block automated requests, or simply do not publish contact details.

The Actor only extracts publicly displayed information. It does not invent or generate likely email addresses, bypass authentication, solve CAPTCHAs, or circumvent access controls.

### Output

One structured result is written to the default dataset for each processed website, making the Actor easy to consume from APIs, MCP, n8n, Make, Zapier, CRMs, and custom AI-agent pipelines.

You can run this Actor programmatically using our API. Below are code examples in JavaScript, Python, and CLI, as well as the OpenAPI specification and MCP server setup.

## JavaScript example

```javascript
import { ApifyClient } from 'apify-client';
// Initialize the ApifyClient with your Apify API token
// Replace the '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>' with your token
const client = new ApifyClient({
    token: '<YOUR_API_TOKEN>',
});
// Prepare Actor input
const input = {};
// Run the Actor and wait for it to finish
const run = await client.actor("70peterson/fast-business-contact-enricher").call(input);
// Fetch and print Actor results from the run's dataset (if any)
console.log('Results from dataset');
console.log(`💾 Check your data here: https://console.apify.com/storage/datasets/${run.defaultDatasetId}`);
