## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## amfori Scraper

![amfori Scraper](https://i.ibb.co/q37G3Rpd/amfori-org-banner.png)

**amfori Scraper** extracts member companies from [amfori](https://www.amfori.org/) into structured data. Paste a member directory URL or search by name to collect company names, countries, websites and logos. Download results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Introduction

amfori helps businesses manage supply chain risks and improve sustainable business practices. Its public member directory lists companies across industries and countries. This actor turns those listings into a dataset for company research and business development.

### What data can you extract from amfori?

- 🏢 Member company name: `name`.
- 📍 Published country: `country`.
- 🔗 Company website: `website`.
- 🖼️ Company logo: `logoUrl`.
- 📄 Directory page where the member appeared: `sourceUrl`.

### Use Cases

- **Company research**: find businesses participating in amfori.
- **Market analysis**: compare member companies across countries.
- **Lead discovery**: build a list of company websites for further research.
- **Automation**: refresh member data on a schedule and connect it to spreadsheets or dashboards.

### How to scrape amfori step by step

1. Paste directory URLs into **Start URLs**, or enter company names in **Search queries**.
2. Optionally add country slugs for keyword searches, such as `belgium` or `denmark`.
3. Set **Maximum results** per URL or query.
4. Click **Start**, then download the dataset from the **Output** tab.

### Input

- **Start URLs**: member directory URLs, including `https://www.amfori.org/discover-our-members/` and the older `/en/membership/discover-our-members` path. Country and name filters are preserved. Start at a later page with `?_paged=2` or `?page=2`.
- **Search queries**: member names or keywords, one per entry. Multiple queries and start URLs can be used together.
- **Countries**: optional country slugs for **Search queries** only. Multiple countries use OR. Examples: `belgium`, `denmark`, `germany`, `the-netherlands`, `united-kingdom`. The input field description lists all supported values. Start URLs use their own country filters.
- **Maximum results**: default `5` per URL or query. Use `0` to collect all matching members.

### Input Examples

Default directory input:

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.amfori.org/discover-our-members/" }],
  "maxResults": 5
}
```

Search member names:

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["Safety"],
  "countries": ["belgium", "denmark"],
  "maxResults": 5
}
```

### Output

Each member is saved as one dataset item. This is a real result:

```json
{
  "name": "10DAYS Wholesale bV",
  "country": "The Netherlands",
  "website": "https://www.10dayslifestyle.com/",
  "logoUrl": "https://www.amfori.org/uploads/2025/07/10DAYS-250x63.png",
  "sourceUrl": "https://www.amfori.org/discover-our-members/"
}
```

Export the dataset as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or access it through the Apify API.

### Notes

- Only the public member directory is supported. Other page types are skipped.
- Listings link directly to company websites. The actor does not visit those websites or collect email addresses, phone numbers or certification records.
- The directory does not offer a member type filter.
- Missing countries, websites or logos are returned as `null`.
- Duplicate members within the same URL or query are removed. Separate searches can include the same company.
- Different page numbers for the same search share one result limit.
- Search and country results reflect the directory at the time of the run. Membership does not establish a company's certification status.

### Why use the amfori Scraper?

- **No login needed**: collect public member information without an account.
- **Keeps your filters**: use directory URLs with name and country filters.
- **Controlled result counts**: keep runs small or collect every matching member.
- **Ready for automation**: schedule runs and use the structured output in your workflow.
