## Pricing

from $3.50 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Viator Scraper

![Viator Scraper](https://i.ibb.co/Nn1fDfvK/viator-banner.png)

**Viator Scraper** extracts tours, activities, and experiences from [Viator](https://www.viator.com/) into clean, structured data you can download as JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML. Paste a Viator destination, category, attraction, search, or tour URL, or type a few keywords, and get the price, every tour option with its own price and start times, rating, reviews breakdown, duration, itinerary, inclusions, meeting point, cancellation policy, and operator for every tour. Works on DataDome-protected pages, no account or login required.

### Introduction

[Viator](https://www.viator.com/) is a Tripadvisor company and one of the largest marketplaces for tours, attractions, day trips, and things to do, with hundreds of thousands of bookable experiences in destinations all over the world. Travel agencies, tour operators, and analysts follow Viator to understand prices, demand, and competition in a destination.

This actor collects the same public information you see on each Viator tour page and turns it into a ready-to-use dataset. You can run it once, schedule it to run daily, or connect it to your own tools.

### What data can you extract from Viator?

- 🏷️ Tour title, product code, destination, breadcrumbs, description, and highlights
- 💲 Price, price before discount, currency, sale flag, and special offer text
- 🎟️ Every tour option with its name, availability, start times, price, and discount for the next available date
- ⭐ Rating, number of reviews, and the count of 1 to 5 star reviews
- ⏱️ Duration as text and in minutes
- ✅ Inclusions, exclusions, and additional information
- ↩️ Free cancellation flag, cancellation policy, and its full rules
- 🗺️ Itinerary stops with duration, admission, and coordinates
- 📍 Meeting points and end points with address, directions, and coordinates, pickup details, and a map link
- 👥 Languages, age bands, maximum group size, next available date, and time zone
- 🏢 Operator name and ID, private tour, likely to sell out, excellence, and new on Viator flags
- 🖼️ Photos, photo count, and video link
- 🔗 Direct URL to each tour

### Use Cases

- 📈 **Market research**: compare tour prices, durations, and ratings across destinations and categories.
- 🕵️ **Competitor monitoring**: follow what other operators sell, their tour options, discounts, and cancellation terms.
- 🤝 **Lead generation**: build a list of tour operators active in a destination.
- 🗂️ **Database building**: create your own catalog of tours with itineraries, meeting points, and photos.
- 🤖 **AI and automation**: feed clean, structured data into spreadsheets, dashboards, or AI workflows.

### How to scrape Viator step by step

1. Paste one or more Viator URLs into **Start URLs**, or type keywords into **Search queries**.
2. Set **Maximum number of results** to how many tours you want per URL or per query.
3. Pick the **Currency** you want the prices in.
4. Click **Start** and wait for the run to finish.
5. Download your data in JSON, CSV, Excel, or HTML from the **Output** tab.

### Input

- **Start URLs**: Viator URLs to scrape. Supported pages: destination pages (`https://www.viator.com/Dubai/d828-ttd`), category pages (`https://www.viator.com/Dubai-tours/Day-Trips/d828-g5`), attraction pages (`https://www.viator.com/Dubai-attractions/Burj-Al-Arab-Jumeirah/d828-a1615`), search result pages (`https://www.viator.com/searchResults/all?text=louvre`), and single tour pages (`https://www.viator.com/tours/...`). A list URL that ends with a page number starts from that page.
- **Search queries**: keywords to search on Viator, such as a city, an attraction, or an activity. Each query is scraped separately.
- **Maximum number of results**: how many tours to collect for each start URL or search query. Set 0 for no limit. A tour URL always returns one tour.
- **Currency**: the currency of every price in the results (29 currencies, US Dollar by default).
- **Proxy configuration**: residential proxies are required, because Viator blocks datacenter and server IPs. The default setting already uses them.

You can use start URLs, search queries, or both in the same run.

### Input Examples

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.viator.com/Dubai/d828-ttd" }],
  "maxResults": 5,
  "currency": "USD",
  "proxyConfiguration": {
  "maxResults": 5,
  "currency": "USD",
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true,
    "apifyProxyGroups": ["RESIDENTIAL"],
    "apifyProxyCountry": "US"
  }
}
```

You can download the dataset in JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, or HTML, or access it through the Apify API.

### Notes

- Residential proxies are required. Viator blocks datacenter and server IPs, so keep the default proxy setting.
- Tour options show the "from" price and start times for the next date the tour is available (`tourOptionsDate`). Options that are sold out on that date are still listed, with `available: false` and no price.
- The filters in the Viator sidebar (duration, price, rating, time of day, language, sort order) are not applied, because Viator keeps them in your browser and not in the URL. Use category or attraction pages to narrow the results.
- Viator search returns at most 200 tours per keyword, and it matches by meaning, so even unusual keywords return related tours.
- A tour that appears in several start URLs or queries is saved only once.
- Some tours have no description or highlights on Viator, so those fields are `null` or empty.
- Text is returned in English.

### Why use the Viator Scraper?

- ✅ **No login needed**: works with public data only, so there is no account to manage.
- 🛡️ **Works on DataDome-protected pages**: get Viator data without being blocked.
- 🎟️ **Every tour option**: each option comes with its own name, price, discount, and start times, not just the lowest price.
- 🧹 **Clean data**: prices and ratings are real numbers, durations are in minutes, and text is free of HTML.
- 💱 **Your currency**: get every price in one of 29 currencies.
- 💸 **Pay for what you need**: set a result limit per URL or query and keep every run small.
- 🔄 **Ready for automation**: schedule runs, export to Google Sheets, or connect to Make, Zapier, and n8n.

### FAQ

#### How many results can I scrape?

You can set any number in **Maximum number of results**, or 0 for no limit. The actor keeps going until it reaches your limit or runs out of tours. See **Notes** for the limit of Viator search.

#### Do I need a Viator account?

No. The actor only collects publicly available data. You do not need to log in or provide any account details.

#### Can I scrape data on a schedule?

Yes. Use Apify Schedules to run the actor every hour, day, or week, and track prices and availability over time.

#### Why are some fields empty?

Some tours simply do not show every piece of information, such as a video, a pickup area, or a description. When a field is not available on Viator, it is returned as `null` or an empty list.

#### Can I request a new feature or filter?

Yes. Right now the actor supports start URLs, search queries, and the currency. If you need other filters or inputs, such as travel dates, number of travelers, or reviews, get in touch and they can be added.

#### Can I get a custom or private version?

Yes. The actor can be customized for your workflow, delivered as a private version, or a new scraper can be built for a different website. Use the contact details below.
