## Pricing

from $6.84 / 1,000 advertiser founds

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Snapchat Ads Library Lookup: Company Ad Presence Check

**Paste a list of company or brand names. Get back one row per name telling you whether that advertiser is running Snapchat ads, with a sample of ads, impression totals, and the countries those impressions ran in.** Data comes straight from Snap's own [Ads Library](https://adsapi.snapchat.com) (the public EU DSA ads gallery), with no login and no token.

### Who it's for

- **Outbound and RevOps teams** enriching a lead list: "does this prospect run Snapchat ads?" is a consumer-budget and creative-spend signal you can filter on in Clay, n8n, or a spreadsheet.
- **Agencies prospecting for ad clients**: find companies that are *already* advertising on Snapchat (they have budget) or *not yet* advertising (they need you).
- **Competitor and market analysts** who want a quick per-company read — active Snapchat ad program or not, how heavy the sampled impressions are, which countries — without scraping thousands of creatives.
- **AI agents** that need a single structured answer per company, callable over plain HTTP.

### Why this one

Store incumbents for Snapchat ads are **bulk creative scrapers**: you give them a query, they download galleries of individual ads, and you pay per ad. Fine for a creative-intelligence archive; the wrong tool for enriching a 5,000-row lead list, where you would pay for every ad from one company just to learn "yes, they advertise."

This actor asks the opposite question: **one input company → one output row**, sized and priced as an enrichment column, matching this portfolio's [LinkedIn Ads Presence Lookup](https://apify.com/accountable_eel/linkedin-ads-presence-lookup), [Google Ads Presence Lookup](https://apify.com/accountable_eel/google-ads-presence-lookup), and [Meta Ads Presence Lookup](https://apify.com/accountable_eel/meta-ads-presence-lookup).

- **One row per company**, not one per ad. Predictable output, predictable cost.
- **Never charged for a miss.** A company with no ads, and a row that came back `RATE_LIMITED` after Snap's own repository refused the request, both cost you nothing.
- **Impressions, not just existence.** Snap's Ads Library reports `impressions_total` and a per-country `impressions_map` on each ad, which Microsoft's and LinkedIn's public libraries do not.
- **Name match only — and that's honest, not hidden.** Snap matches `paying_advertiser_name`. Paste the name as it appears on the ads, not a domain.

### What you get

One dataset row per input, with these columns (all included by default; select fewer with the `columns` input):

| Column | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `profileName` | Brand name shown on the sampled ads |
| `payingAdvertiserName` | Paying advertiser name Snap matched |
| `adCount` | How many ads are in **this sample**. A page size, not Snap's true total — the Ads Library paginates and this actor does not walk further pages |
| `impressionsTotalSample` | Sum of `impressions_total` across the sample |
| `countriesWithImpressions` | Country codes that had a nonzero value in any sampled `impressions_map` |
| `sampleHeadlines` | Distinct headlines from the sample |

### Reliability

Snap's own EU ads repository is measured unavailable a meaningful fraction of the time by third-party researchers. This actor retries automatically (back off 1-2 seconds, up to two retries) when Snap returns HTTP 429 (`E1009`). A run may occasionally report `RATE_LIMITED` rather than a true miss, and **that row is never charged**.

Keep **Max concurrency** at 1 (the default) for batch runs. Raising it makes 429s more likely, not less.

### How to use Snapchat Ads Library Lookup

1. **In the Apify Console.** Open the actor page and click **Start** — the `items` field is already pre-filled with a working example. Results land in the run's dataset as soon as each item is found.
2. **Via the API.** Call it directly with a POST request — no Console needed once you have an API token:
   ```bash
   curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~snapchat-ads-presence-lookup/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>" \
     -X POST \
     -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
     -d '{"items":["Nike","Adidas"]}'
   ```
3. **On a schedule.** Save this actor as an Apify **Task** with the input you want, then add a **Schedule** (hourly, daily, weekly) so it runs on its own — no server of your own required.

### Input

```json
{
  "items": [
    "Nike",
    "Adidas"
  ]
}
```

One company or brand name per line, exactly as it appears as the paying advertiser in Snap's Ads Library. This is a name match only, not a domain match. Accepted formats: Nike, Adidas, Booking.com.

### Sample output

| query | found | status | profileName | payingAdvertiserName | adCount | impressionsTotalSample | countriesWithImpressions | sampleHeadlines | scrapedAt |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Nike | true | OK | <brand name on the ads> | <paying advertiser name> | \<ads in this sample (page size, not a full total)> | \<impressions in this sample (sum)> | <countries with impressions in this sample> | <sample ad headlines> | 1970-01-01T00:00:00.000Z |

A miss comes back as a row with `"found": false` and is never charged. `RATE_LIMITED` is a miss too.

### Example runs

Three keyless prefills. No token, no proxy, nothing beyond an Apify login. Each one is shaped to return rows for well-known advertisers in Germany.

**1. Check which target accounts run Snapchat ads**

```json
{
  "items": ["Nike", "Adidas", "Puma"],
  "countries": ["DE"]
}
```

**2. Compare Snapchat ad presence across competitors**

```json
{
  "items": ["Nike", "Adidas"],
  "countries": ["DE"],
  "dateRangeDays": 90,
  "maxAdsPerCompany": 5
}
```

**3. Snapchat ads checker by advertiser name**

```json
{
  "items": ["Nike"],
  "countries": ["DE"]
}
```

### Pricing

Pay-per-event. A flat per-run fee covers session warmup; you're billed
per item only when ads are actually found and returned. A miss is never charged.

Compare: assembling the same answer from a bulk creative scraper priced per *ad* means paying for every ad a heavy advertiser runs just to learn that they advertise.

### Use it from Clay, n8n, Make, or an AI agent

This actor runs synchronously over plain HTTP — call it directly from a script, a workflow tool, or an AI agent, no Apify Console needed once you have an API token.

```bash
curl "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~snapchat-ads-presence-lookup/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>" \
  -X POST \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"items":["Nike","Adidas"]}'
```

**n8n.** Add an HTTP Request node: Method `POST`, URL `https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~snapchat-ads-presence-lookup/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>`, Body Content Type `JSON`, JSON Body `{"items":["Nike","Adidas"]}` (swap in an expression from an earlier node for a real value).

**Clay.** Add an "HTTP API" column: Method `POST`, URL `https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/accountable_eel~snapchat-ads-presence-lookup/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=<YOUR_TOKEN>`, Body `{"items":["{{company or brand}}"]}`, mapping the row's company or brand into the `items` array.

**MCP.** In Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client with the Apify MCP server, ask for "snapchat ads library checker by advertiser name" — the agent will find and run this actor.

### Tips

- **Use the paying-advertiser name.** Snap matches `paying_advertiser_name`, not a domain and not a fuzzy brand search. "Nike" works; "nike.com" likely does not.
- **`adCount` is a sample.** The Ads Library paginates with `paging.next_link`. This actor reads the first page only, capped at `maxAdsPerCompany` (default 5), so a brand with hundreds of ads still returns a small sample.
- **Pick the countries you care about.** This reads Snap's EU ads repository. A US-only Snap advertiser will never show for `DE`.
- **A `RATE_LIMITED` row is not a no.** Snap refused the request this time. Re-run that company; you are not charged for the refused row.

### FAQ

**Does this scrape Snapchat?** No. It calls Snap's documented public Ads Gallery search. No login, no cookie, no token.

**Why did I get `RATE_LIMITED` for a company I know advertises?** Snap's EU repository is frequently unavailable. This actor retried for you. Re-run that one name; the refused row was free.

**Is `adCount` the number of ads they run?** It is the number of ads in this sample, not Snap's full catalogue for that advertiser.

**Do I need a proxy?** No. Snap's Ads Library answered a plain request in testing. The proxy field is there if you want one; the default run does not depend on it.

# Actor input Schema

## `items` (type: `array`):

One company or brand name per line, exactly as it appears as the paying advertiser in Snap's Ads Library. This is a name match only, not a domain match. Accepted formats: Nike, Adidas, Booking.com. You're only charged for the ones we actually find — a miss costs nothing.

## `testRun` (type: `boolean`):

Turn this on to test your input on a small sample before running the full list. Turn it off to process everything.

## `onlyFound` (type: `boolean`):

Only keep rows where something was actually found. Misses are always free, whether or not you show them here.

## `includeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Only keep results that mention at least one of these words (e.g. a job title, a city, a product name). Leave empty to keep everything.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Optional. Drop any result that mentions one of these words. Leave empty to skip nothing.

## `maxResults` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Stop the run once this many results have been found — useful for a quick, cheap sample. Leave blank for no limit.

## `countries` (type: `array`):

Two-letter country codes Snap's Ads Library should search, e.g. DE, FR, NL. Defaults to Germany (DE). This reads Snap's EU ads repository, so only ads served in the countries you list are visible.

## `dateRangeDays` (type: `integer`):

How many days back from today to search. Default 90. Used to build the start and end dates Snap's Ads Library requires.

## `maxAdsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

How many ads to keep as a sample per company, 1 to 50. Default 5. This is a page size, not Snap's true total: the Ads Library paginates and this actor does not walk further pages.

## `columns` (type: `array`):

Choose which pieces of information to include in each result row. All are included by default.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Parallel requests. Keep conservative — this target has no browser fallback, so getting blocked costs more than slow-and-steady.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy config. Residential recommended for anti-bot-sensitive targets.
