## Pricing

from $19.00 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## 🏛 Twelve Data Public Scraper

> **Export the NASDAQ instrument list from Twelve Data's public endpoint as flat rows: ticker, issuer name, currency, exchange, MIC code, country and security type.** No API key, no account, no login.

Every model that touches public markets needs a reference list first: which ticker belongs to which issuer, on which exchange, under which MIC code, and what kind of security it is. Twelve Data publishes that list for NASDAQ without a key, as one JSON response. This Actor reads it and writes each instrument into a dataset as 7 data fields, ready to join against a spreadsheet of tickers.

**Read the output table before you buy.** This Actor returns the NASDAQ reference list only. It does not return quotes, historical prices or technical indicators, and it does not cover forex or crypto. The exchange is fixed at NASDAQ and is not an input.

| Who uses it | What they use the list for |
|---|---|
| 📊 Analysts building a comps universe | Getting every NASDAQ ticker with its issuer name and security type in one table |
| 🔗 Data and reporting teams | Mapping tickers to MIC codes and currencies when joining feeds from different vendors |
| 🧾 Diligence and research staff | Checking how an issuer's securities are listed, since one name can carry several tickers |
| 🛠 Tool builders | Seeding a symbol picker or an autocomplete without maintaining a vendor integration |

### 📋 What it does

> 💡 **Why it matters:** ticker lists go stale quietly. A scheduled run and a diff against last month's export is the cheapest way to see what listed, what changed name and what disappeared.

- 🏛 **Reads Twelve Data's public NASDAQ instrument list**, the `/stocks` endpoint that needs no key.
- 🔤 **Returns the ticker and the issuer name** on the same row.
- 🏷 **Carries the MIC code**, the ISO 10383 market identifier, alongside the exchange name.
- 💱 **Records the trading currency** and the country of listing.
- 🧾 **Keeps the security type** as Twelve Data classifies it, for example `Common Stock`.
- 📦 **One row per instrument**, the same 9 fields every run, exportable as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

### 📊 Output

Every instrument is one flat row.

| Field | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| 🔤 `symbol` | string | Ticker, for example `AACB` |
| 🏢 `name` | string | Issuer name, for example `Artius II Acquisition Inc.` |
| 💱 `currency` | string | Trading currency, for example `USD` |
| 🏛 `exchange` | string | Exchange name, `NASDAQ` on every row |
| 🔢 `mic_code` | string | ISO 10383 market identifier code, for example `XNMS` |
| 🌐 `country` | string | Country of listing, for example `United States` |
| 🧾 `type` | string | Security type as Twelve Data classifies it, for example `Common Stock` |
| 🕒 `scrapedAt` | string | ISO timestamp of collection |
| ⚠️ `error` | string | `null` on a normal row |

#### Example rows

```json
{
  "symbol": "AACB",
  "name": "Artius II Acquisition Inc.",
  "currency": "USD",
  "exchange": "NASDAQ",
  "mic_code": "XNMS",
  "country": "United States",
  "type": "Common Stock",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-14T17:26:00.379Z",
  "error": null
}
```

```json
{
  "symbol": "AACBR",
  "name": "Artius II Acquisition Inc.",
  "currency": "USD",
  "exchange": "NASDAQ",
  "mic_code": "XNMS",
  "country": "United States",
  "type": "Common Stock",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-09-14T17:26:00.379Z",
  "error": null
}
```

Those two rows are the same issuer under two tickers, which is the normal shape of the list. Deduplicate on `name` if you want one row per company.

### ✨ Why choose this Actor

| | What you get |
|---|---|
| **No API key** | The instrument list is public. Nothing to register for, nothing to keep in a secret store. |
| **MIC codes included** | `mic_code` is what makes a join against another vendor's feed work. |
| **A clean table** | Nine fields, no nesting, ready for CSV or a database load. |
| **Repeatable** | Schedule it and diff two exports to see listings appear and disappear. |
| **You pay per row** | No subscription. Cap the run with `maxItems` and pay for what you collect. |

### 🚀 How to use it

1. [Create a free Apify account](https://console.apify.com/sign-up). New accounts start with $5 of credit.
2. Open the Actor and select **Try for free**.
3. Set `maxItems` to cap the run.
4. Select **Start**, then export from the **Dataset** tab as CSV, Excel, JSON or XML.

A first run:

```json
{
  "maxItems": 10
}
```

A larger pull:

```json
{
  "maxItems": 5000
}
```

### ⚙️ Input

| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| `maxItems` | No | How many records to collect per run. Free plans are capped at 10 as a preview, paid plans go to 1,000,000 |

### 💰 Pricing

Pay per result. No subscription, and no Apify platform usage on top.

| Apify plan | Free | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Diamond |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Per instrument row | $0.021 | $0.02033 | $0.01967 | $0.019 | $0.019 | $0.019 |

| Rows collected | Cost on the Free plan |
|---|---|
| 100 | $2.10 |
| 1,000 | $21.00 |
| 10,000 | $210.00 |

**Free plan runs** return up to 10 rows as a preview. Any paid Apify plan lifts that to 1,000,000 per run.

### 🔌 Integrate with any app

The dataset is available through the Apify API as soon as the run finishes. Use `run-sync-get-dataset-items` for a one-shot call, webhooks to trigger what happens next, or the Make, Zapier, Airbyte and LangChain integrations listed on the Actor page.

### 🤖 Use with an AI agent

Give an agent live access to the instrument list over the Model Context Protocol:

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=acquistion-automation/twelvedata-public-scraper"
```

Then ask it in plain language which tickers an issuer lists on NASDAQ and read the rows back.

### ❓ Frequently asked questions

**Does this return prices, quotes or technical indicators?**
No. It returns the NASDAQ instrument reference list: ticker, name, currency, exchange, MIC code, country and security type. Price and indicator endpoints at Twelve Data require an API key and are not collected here.

**Can I choose a different exchange, or forex and crypto?**
No. The run reads the NASDAQ listing and the exchange is not an input. `exchange` is `NASDAQ` on every row.

**Can I look up a single ticker?**
Not through the input. Collect the list and filter the `symbol` column after the export.

**Why do two rows share the same issuer name?**
An issuer can list several securities, for example common stock alongside warrants or rights, each with its own ticker. Deduplicate on `name` for one row per company.

**What is `mic_code`?**
The ISO 10383 market identifier code for the listing venue, for example `XNMS`. It is the field to join on when combining data from different market vendors.

**What can I export?**
CSV, Excel, JSON and XML from the run page, or JSON straight from the API.

### About Acquisition Automation Co.

We build automation for people buying businesses. The repetitive part of an acquisition search, checking listings, pulling public records, tracking owners and assets, is work a machine should do, so the buyer's time goes into judging deals instead of collecting them.

We add new Actors regularly. If there is a source you need and do not see here, tell us.
