## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AliExpress Product Search Scraper: Prices, Sold Count, Ratings

Search AliExpress by keyword or search URL and get product rows: product ID, title, price, original price, discount, currency, sold count, star rating, Choice badge, images and product URL. About 60 products per page, no browser. $0.70 per 1,000 products.

**An AliExpress product search scraper that returns clean product rows from a keyword, with no browser and no proxy bill.** Give it keywords like "phone case" or "led strip", or paste AliExpress search URLs with your own filters, and it reads the public search result pages (about 60 products each) and returns, for every product: **product ID, title, sale price, original price, discount %, currency, sold count** (e.g. "10K+ sold" plus the exact count when AliExpress gives it), **star rating**, the **Choice** badge, main image and gallery images, AliExpress category IDs, the date the listing went live, and the product URL. Sort by best match, orders or price, and page through up to 60 result pages per search. Use it for **dropshipping product research**, finding winning products and trending items, **price monitoring** and competitor tracking, sourcing and supplier shortlists, and building product datasets for analysis or AI agents. Sponsored listings are left out by default (switch them on if you want them, flagged `isSponsored`). **$0.70 per 1,000 products**, with no compute bill on top; problems such as a blocked page or no results return a free status row instead of failing.

### What data does it return?

Every run outputs clean, schema-validated rows like these:

| productId | title | price | originalPrice | discountPercent | currency | soldCount | rating |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1005008908983422 | Luxury Magnetic Matte Translucent Armor Shockproof Case For iPhone 11 12 13 14 15 16 For Magsafe Wireless … | 2 | 4.41 | 54 | GBP | 152896 | 4.9 |
| 1005007502032342 | Magnetic Luxury Lens Protector Matte Translucent Case For iPhone 17 18 16 15 14 13 12 Pro Max For Magsafe … | 0.99 | 2.13 | 53 | GBP | 129499 | 4.7 |
| 1005006507011550 | For Magesafe Magnetic Transparent Wireless Charge Case For iPhone 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 Air Pro Max Plus … | 1.8 | 5.94 | 69 | GBP | 125923 | 4.7 |

### How much does it cost?

Transparent pay-per-event pricing — you only pay for what you get, and the
actor **always respects your run budget**: set a maximum total charge and it
stops cleanly at the cap instead of overrunning.

| Event | Price | Charged | Worked example |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `product` | $0.0007 | per product row | 1,000 products (about 22 result pages) = $0.70 |
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.00005 | per run per GB of memory (platform start fee) | One run at 512 MB = $0.00005 |

### Input options

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `queries` | array | no | — | Keywords to search on AliExpress, e.g. "phone case", "led strip" or "usb c cable". Each keyword is one search. |
| `searchUrls` | array | no | — | AliExpress search result URLs of the form https://www.aliexpress.com/w/wholesale-\<keyword>.html, including any filters you set on the site (price range, ship-from, etc.). Other AliExpress pages are skipped with a free status row. |
| `maxItems` | integer | no | `100` | Stop after this many products in total across all searches. Each product is one charged row. |
| `maxPagesPerSearch` | integer | no | `5` | Results pages to read per keyword or URL (about 60 products each, or about 45 without sponsored items). AliExpress shows at most 60 pages. |
| `sort` | string | no | `"best-match"` | Order of results. Ignored for a search URL that already sets a sort. |
| `includeSponsored` | boolean | no | `false` | Also return the sponsored (ad) products that AliExpress mixes into results. They are flagged isSponsored and often have no price in the search data. |

### Limits & honest notes

- **Responsible use:** you are responsible for using the data in line with AliExpress's terms and with data-protection law where you are. This actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by AliExpress or Alibaba Group.
- It reads only public search result pages (/w/wholesale-….html), which AliExpress's robots.txt allows. robots.txt is checked before every page. There is no login, no cookies, no proxies and no CAPTCHA solving; it sends an honest user agent (ActorForge-AliExpressSearch) and waits at least 1.5 s between pages.
- If AliExpress answers with a block or a slider challenge, the run stops at once, keeps the products already delivered and adds a free status row. Large runs are more likely to be refused; split them into several smaller runs.
- Prices and currency are the ones AliExpress shows to the server's location (usually USD on Apify's US servers). They can differ from what you see in your own country, and sale prices change often.
- Search data only: no product descriptions, variants, shipping costs or seller details (those are only on product pages, which load in the browser). The sold count is AliExpress's own figure; when only a rounded text like "10K+ sold" is shown, soldCount is the lower bound.
- Sponsored products are skipped unless you switch on includeSponsored; their search data often has no price.
- Respects your run budget: set a maximum total charge and the run stops cleanly at the cap, with nothing charged twice. A run with no results returns one free status row.
