## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Arbeitsagentur Jobs Scraper: Germany's Federal Job Board

Search Germany's Bundesagentur für Arbeit Jobsuche (about 1M ads) by keyword, place and radius: title, employer, address and coordinates, salary range, full-/part-time, home office, contract, start and posting dates, optional full description. No browser. $0.50 per 1,000 jobs.

**An Arbeitsagentur scraper for German job ads, straight from the official Jobsuche API.** The Bundesagentur für Arbeit runs Germany's largest job board, with about a million ads from employers of every size. Give it **job titles or skills** (Entwickler, Pflegefachkraft, Elektriker…) and **places** (city, postcode or region, with a radius), and get one clean row per ad: **title, employer, postcode, city, region and map coordinates**, **salary range and period** where the employer gives one, **full-time / part-time / mini-job**, **home office**, permanent or fixed-term contract, occupation, suitable-for-career-changers flag, **start date, first published and last changed dates**, the arbeitsagentur.de link and the employer's own application link, and optionally the **full job description**. Filter by offer type (jobs, apprenticeships, internships, self-employment), working time, posting age and temporary-work agencies. Every keyword is searched in every place, so one run covers a whole job family across many cities. Use it for **German job market research**, recruiting and sourcing, salary benchmarking, lead lists of hiring companies, job alerts and job-board aggregation. **$0.50 per 1,000 jobs**, with no compute bill on top; problems return a free status row instead of failing.

### What data does it return?

Every run outputs clean, schema-validated rows like these:

| title | company | location | remote | postedAt | salaryMin | salaryPeriod |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| C++-Entwickler (w/m/d) | smartclip | 10178 Berlin, Deutschland | false | 2026-09-27 |  |  |
| Hauswirtschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in Pflege | AWO Pflege Schleswig-Holstein gGmbH | 24782 Büdelsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein, Deutschland | | | 30000 | year |
| Verwaltungsfachangestellte - Pflege (m/w/d) | Hochtaunuskreis Der Kreisausschuss Der Landrat | 61352 Bad Homburg vor der Höhe, Hessen, Deutschland | | | 40121.66 | year |

### How much does it cost?

Transparent pay-per-event pricing — you only pay for what you get, and the
actor **always respects your run budget**: set a maximum total charge and it
stops cleanly at the cap instead of overrunning.

| Event | Price | Charged | Worked example |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `job-result` | $0.0005 | per job row | 1,000 jobs = $0.50 (with or without descriptions) |
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.00005 | per run per GB of memory (platform start fee) | One run at 256 MB = $0.00005 |

### Input options

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `keywords` | array | no | — | One search per keyword, e.g. Entwickler, Pflegefachkraft, Elektriker, Buchhaltung. Leave empty to list all ads for the places below. |
| `locations` | array | no | — | City, postcode or region, e.g. Berlin, 80331, Hamburg. Every keyword is searched in every place. Leave empty for all of Germany. |
| `radiusKm` | integer | no | `25` | Search radius around each place. 0 = the place only. |
| `offerType` | string | no | `"job"` | Which kind of offer to search. |
| `workingTime` | array | no | `[]` | Only ads with any of these working-time options. Empty = all. |
| `postedWithinDays` | integer | no | `0` | Only ads published in the last N days (1–100). 0 = any age. |
| `excludeTemporaryAgencies` | boolean | no | `false` | Hide ads from Zeitarbeit / temporary staffing agencies. |
| `includeDescription` | boolean | no | `false` | Fetch each ad's full text (one extra request per job, so runs are slower). Phone numbers and e-mail addresses in the text are removed. |
| `maxItems` | integer | no | `200` | Stop after this many jobs in total across all searches. Each job is one charged row. |

### Limits & honest notes

- **Responsible use:** you are responsible for using the data in line with the Bundesagentur für Arbeit's terms and with data-protection law (GDPR). This actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the Bundesagentur für Arbeit.
- It uses the public JSON API that the arbeitsagentur.de Jobsuche web app itself calls (search v6, details v4), with the app's public key. No login, no cookies, no proxies and no CAPTCHA solving; it sends an honest user agent (ActorForge-Arbeitsagentur) and waits at least 0.4 s between requests. rest.arbeitsagentur.de answers robots.txt with HTTP 403, which RFC 9309 treats as "no robots.txt" (allowed); robots.txt is still checked on every request.
- The API is public but undocumented, and older versions (v4 and v5 search) were retired in 2026. If the search moves, the run returns a free status row instead of failing, and the actor is updated.
- Contact persons are never output, and phone numbers and e-mail addresses are removed from descriptions. Employer names and locations are business data.
- The API returns at most 100 pages (10,000 ads) per search: split very broad searches by place or keyword.
- If the site answers with a block, the run stops at once, keeps the jobs already delivered and adds a free status row. Respects your run budget: set a maximum total charge and the run stops cleanly at the cap. A run with no results returns one free status row.
