## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Lever Jobs Scraper — Lever Postings API to JSON

Scrape Lever job postings to clean JSON: title, company, team, department, location, workplace type, salary range where published, posted date, apply link and optional description. Pass jobs.lever.co URLs. $1.50 per 1,000 jobs.

**Scrape Lever job boards to JSON** without an API key. This Lever jobs scraper reads the same public job-board feed the company's careers page uses and returns every open posting in one clean schema: title, company, department, team, location, country, remote/hybrid/onsite, employment type, salary min/max/currency where published, posted date and apply link, with an optional full plain-text description. You get team, department, commitment, workplace type and salary range where published. Pass board URLs, or switch on *Search the whole built-in company index* to scan 66 Lever companies by keyword, location, remote and recency. Filter by keyword, excluded words, location, remote and posted-within-days; filtered-out jobs are free. Use it for recruiting and sourcing, job-board and newsletter feeds, hiring-signal sales prospecting, labour-market research, or as a jobs tool in Clay, Make, n8n and AI-agent workflows. The same engine also reads Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Personio and BambooHR URLs. **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs**, with no compute bill on top.

### What data does it return?

Every run outputs clean, schema-validated rows like these:

| title | companyName | ats | location | workplaceType | salaryText | postedAt | jobUrl |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Art Director - Mexico | Spotify | lever | Mexico City | hybrid | | 2026-10-… | https://jobs.lever.co/spotify/223f9722-… |

### How much does it cost?

Transparent pay-per-event pricing — you only pay for what you get, and the
actor **always respects your run budget**: set a maximum total charge and it
stops cleanly at the cap instead of overrunning.

| Event | Price | Charged | Worked example |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `job-result` | $0.0015 | per job posting delivered (description included at no extra cost) | 100 jobs = $0.15; 1,000 jobs = $1.50; 400 jobs ≈ $0.60 |
| `apify-actor-start` | $0.00005 | per run per GB of memory (platform start fee) | One run at 1 GB = $0.00005 |

### Input options

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| `companies` | array | no | — | Lever career sites to scrape, one per line: jobs.lever.co/{company} (EU host too), or lever:{slug}. URLs from the other supported ATS (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Personio, BambooHR) also work. |
| `searchAllCompanies` | boolean | no | `false` | Scan every Lever company in the built-in index (66 Lever companies) and return jobs matching your filters. No need to know company names. |
| `ats` | array | no | `["lever"]` | When searching the built-in index, only scan companies on these applicant tracking systems. The index covers Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby; other ATS work through careers URLs in Companies. Empty = all. |
| `industries` | array | no | `[]` | Only scan index companies in these industries, e.g. 'Fintech', 'Healthcare', 'B2B', 'Consumer'. Partial, case-insensitive match. |
| `keywords` | array | no | `[]` | Keep jobs whose title, department or team contains any of these, e.g. 'engineer', 'data', 'product manager'. Empty = all jobs. |
| `excludeKeywords` | array | no | `[]` | Drop jobs whose title contains any of these, e.g. 'intern', 'senior'. |
| `locations` | array | no | `[]` | Keep jobs whose location or country contains any of these, e.g. 'London', 'United States', 'Remote'. Empty = anywhere. |
| `remoteOnly` | boolean | no | `false` | Only jobs marked remote by the employer. |
| `postedWithinDays` | integer | no | — | Only jobs first published in the last N days. Leave empty for all open jobs. |
| `maxJobs` | integer | no | `100` | Stop after this many jobs. You pay per job: 1,000 jobs = $1.50. Filtered-out jobs are never charged. |
| `includeDescription` | boolean | no | `false` | Add the full plain-text job description to each row (bigger rows, same price). |

### Limits & honest notes

SmartRecruiters and custom-built careers pages are not supported.
- The built-in index lists 811 Greenhouse/Lever/Ashby companies verified on 2026-10-18 (YC companies plus well-known employers). Workday and the other ATS work when you pass the company's careers URL; the actor never guesses company slugs.
- Workday: one detail request per job (that is where the real posting date and description live), at most 5 requests at a time per company, so a 300-job site takes about a minute. Workday searches stop at 2,000 results; larger sites are split by job family or location automatically. A site whose robots.txt disallows its job pages is skipped and not charged.
- Salary is only returned where the employer publishes it in structured form (common on Ashby, sometimes Lever/Recruitee, rare elsewhere). Otherwise the salary fields are null.
- Lists only currently open, publicly listed jobs, exactly what the company's careers page shows. Recruiter names, job mailboxes and application-form fields are never returned.
- Keyword/location filters are case-insensitive substring matches on title, department, team, location and country.
- Filtered-out jobs and companies without a public board are never charged.
- Respects your run budget: set a maximum total charge and the actor stops cleanly at the cap.

### Changelog

- **2026-10-19** — Initial release as a Lever-first listing of Career Site Jobs (same engine: nine ATS, $1.50 per 1,000 jobs).

*Built and maintained by **ActorForge**. Reliability first: every actor in the
portfolio is monitored by an automated nightly self-test, and breakages are
typically fixed the same day.*
