## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## ATS Jobs Export: every open job from Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby job boards

Paste the links to company job boards and get every open job as a row: title, department, location, remote flag, posted date, apply link, full description and, when the employer publishes one, the pay range as numbers. Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby boards can be mixed in one run. Filter by search words, location or remote only, and switch on **only jobs not seen in an earlier run** to get just the new postings on a schedule. You are charged per job delivered.

### What you get

One dataset item per job. Real output from the default run (three boards, search "engineer", 7 jobs per board):

| System | Title | Location | Remote | Pay range | Posted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| greenhouse | Machine Learning Engineer, Assistance Engineering | Remote-USA | yes | USD 162,000-186,000 | 2026-04-20 |
| greenhouse | Engineering Manager, Guest & Host | London, United Kingdom | no | GBP 120,000-150,000 | 2026-01-23 |
| lever | Backend Software Engineer - Infrastructure | New York, NY | no | | 2025-08-06 |
| ashby | Engineering Manager - Americas | Remote - US | yes | USD 200,000-325,000 per year | 2025-11-13 |

Each item also has `id`, `company`, `department`, `team`, `employmentType`, `additionalLocations`, `url`, `applyUrl`, `descriptionText`, `descriptionHtml`, `ats`, `board` and `scrapedAt`. `pay` is `{min, max, currency, interval}` and is empty when the employer does not publish a range.

### How to use

1. Open a company's jobs page. Its address looks like `https://boards.greenhouse.io/company`, `https://jobs.lever.co/company` or `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/company`. Paste it (one per line). The short forms `greenhouse:company`, `lever:company` and `ashby:company` work too.
2. Optional: search words (matched against title, department and team), a location text (for example `Germany`), remote only, and a cap per board so one large company does not use up the run.
3. Run it and open the **Jobs** view, or download the dataset as CSV, JSON or Excel.

For a daily or weekly feed of new postings, turn on **Only jobs not seen in an earlier run** and schedule the Actor. It remembers the job IDs per board in a storage of your account.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$1.50 per 1,000 jobs** (the dataset-item event) plus a $0.00005 start fee. The full description is included in the price. You set a maximum cost per run and the Actor stops cleanly at it.

### Limits (honest)

- Only Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby boards. Other systems (Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Workday) are not supported.
- You need the company's board address. The Actor does not discover which companies use which system.
- It reads the public job feeds the boards publish themselves. Nothing behind a login is touched. Please check that your use of the data is allowed for the employer you collect from.
- Pay ranges come from the employer's own fields (Greenhouse pay transparency, Lever salary range, Ashby compensation). Many postings have none, and a posting with several ranges returns the first.
- Lever does not mark remote jobs reliably: the remote flag uses Lever's workplace type and the word "Remote" in the location.
- Boards are changed by their employers without notice. If a link stops working, open an issue with the link.

### FAQ

**I get "has no job board called ...".** Open the link in a browser. It must show the company's list of jobs. Copy that address, or use the short form with the name from the address.

**Something broke or you need a feature?** Open an issue on the Issues tab. I usually reply within a day.

# Actor input Schema

## `boards` (type: `array`):

One link per line to a company's job board on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby, for example https://boards.greenhouse.io/airbnb, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir or https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ashby. Short form also works: greenhouse:airbnb, lever:palantir, ashby:ashby. Mix systems freely.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose title, department or team contains all of these words, for example: engineer.

## `locationContains` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose location text contains this, for example Germany or London.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only jobs marked remote by the employer (or with 'Remote' in the location).

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the job description as plain text and HTML. Same price either way.

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the ID of every job it returned for each board (in a storage of your account) and skips them next time. Use it on a schedule to get only new postings.

## `maxItemsPerBoard` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Take at most this many jobs from each board, so one large company does not use up the whole run.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total. You are charged per job delivered.
