## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Export: every open job from any myworkdayjobs.com career site

Paste the link to a company's Workday jobs page and get every open job as a row: title, location, requisition ID, posted date, apply link, full description and, when the posting states one, the pay range as numbers. Filter by search words, location and how recently the job was posted, and switch on **only jobs not seen in an earlier run** to get just the new postings on a schedule. You are charged per job delivered.

### What you get

One dataset item per job. Real output from the default run (NVIDIA's Workday career site, search "software engineer", 20 jobs, 6 of them with a stated pay range):

| Title | Location | Posted | Pay range | Req ID |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Software Engineer, OpenShell | US, Remote | Posted 30+ Days Ago | USD 184,000-287,500 | JR2020825 |
| Principal Software Engineer | 3 Locations | Posted 30+ Days Ago | USD 272,000-431,250 | JR2024363 |
| Senior Software Engineer | India, Bengaluru | Posted 30+ Days Ago | | JR2024294 |

Each item also has `company`, `jobType`, `remoteType`, `country`, `additionalLocations`, `startDate`, `applyUrl`, `url`, `descriptionText`, `descriptionHtml`, `site` and `scrapedAt`. `pay` is `{min, max, currency}` and is empty when the posting does not state a range.

### How to use

1. Open the company's jobs page in a browser (it looks like `https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/SiteName`) and paste the address. Several sites can go in one run.
2. Optional: search words, a location text (for example `Germany` or `Remote`), and posted within N days.
3. Run it and open the **Jobs** view, or download the dataset as CSV, JSON or Excel.

For a daily or weekly feed of new postings, turn on **Only jobs not seen in an earlier run** and schedule the Actor. It remembers the requisition IDs per career site in a storage of your account.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$1.00 per 1,000 jobs** (the dataset-item event). Loading the full description is included in the price. You set a maximum cost per run and the Actor stops cleanly at it.

### Limits (honest)

- Only Workday career sites on `myworkdayjobs.com`. Other applicant-tracking systems are not supported.
- It reads the public job feed that the career site itself uses. Nothing behind a login is touched. Please check that your use of the data is allowed for the employer you collect from.
- Workday returns at most about 2,000 results for one search. For a larger site, run several searches (by role words) or use the location filter.
- Workday says only "30+ days" for older jobs, so **Posted within** can only count those as 30 days old.
- The list shows one location per job (or "3 Locations"); the extra locations come with the description.
- The pay range is read from the posting text. It is found only when the employer writes a "min - max" range with a currency; the first range in the text is used.
- Career sites are changed by their employers without notice. If a link stops working, open an issue with the link.

### FAQ

**I get "Workday does not know this career site".** Open the link in a browser. It must show the list of jobs, not a single job. Copy that address.

**Something broke or you need a feature?** Open an issue on the Issues tab. I usually reply within a day.

# Actor input Schema

## `careerSiteUrls` (type: `array`):

One link per line to a company's Workday jobs page, for example https://company.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/SiteName. Copy it from the company's careers page.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional. Only jobs matching these words (same search box as on the career site). Empty returns every open job.

## `locationContains` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keep only jobs whose location text contains this, for example Germany or Remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Optional. Keep only jobs posted in the last N days. Workday only says '30+ days' for older jobs, so those are kept only when N is 30 or more.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Load each job's full description (text and HTML), job type, remote type, country, apply link and the stated pay range. Slower, same price.

## `onlyNewSinceLastRun` (type: `boolean`):

Remembers the requisition IDs of every job it returned for each career site (in a storage of your account) and skips them next time. Use it on a schedule to get only new postings.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs in total. You are charged per job delivered.
