## What's an Apify Actor?

Actors are web data automations that power AI and operations. They run on the Apify platform to scrape websites, process data, connect APIs, and automate workflows.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.
Actors are written with capital "A".

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
The best way to integrate Actors is as follows.

- **AI agents and MCP clients** — the [Apify MCP server](https://docs.apify.com/integrations/mcp.md) at `https://mcp.apify.com` (remote, streamable HTTP, OAuth on first use).
- **Agentic workflows and local Actor development** — [Agent Skills](https://apify.com/.well-known/agent-skills/index.json) with the [Apify CLI](https://docs.apify.com/cli/docs.md): `npm install -g apify-cli`, then `apify login`.
- **JavaScript/TypeScript projects** — the official [JS/TS client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md): `npm install apify-client`.
- **Python projects** — the official [Python client](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md): `pip install apify-client`.
- **Any other language** — the [REST API](https://docs.apify.com/api/v2.md).

For usage examples, see the [API](#api) section below.

# README

## Amazon Product Scraper

Scrape Amazon product listings with prices, ratings, reviews, and details. Extract product data from search results across all Amazon categories.

### 💰 Pricing

This Actor uses the **Pay Per Event** pricing model:

| Event | Price |
|-------|-------|
| Actor run | $0.00005 |
| Per product scraped | $0.004 |

For example, scraping 500 products costs: $0.00005 + (500 × $0.004) = **$2.00**

### 📥 Input

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|-------|------|----------|---------|-------------|
| `queries` | array | ✅ | `["wireless headphones"]` | Product search terms to scrape from Amazon |
| `maxResults` | integer | ❌ | `50` | Maximum number of products to scrape per query |
| `fetchDetails` | boolean | ❌ | `true` | Fetch full product details from each product page |
| `minDelay` | integer | ❌ | `2` | Minimum delay between requests (seconds) |
| `maxDelay` | integer | ❌ | `5` | Maximum delay between requests (seconds) |

#### Example Input

```json
{
  "queries": ["iphone 15", "macbook pro"],
  "maxResults": 100,
  "fetchDetails": true,
  "minDelay": 2,
  "maxDelay": 5
}
```

### 📤 Output

| `asin` | string | Amazon Standard Identification Number |
| `title` | string | Product title |
| `url` | string | Product listing URL |
| `price` | string | Current price |
| `originalPrice` | string | Original price (if on sale) |
| `rating` | string | Average rating (e.g. "4.5") |
| `reviewCount` | string | Number of reviews |
| `imageUrl` | string | Product image URL |
| `isPrime` | boolean | Whether product is Prime eligible |
| `isSponsored` | boolean | Whether product is sponsored |

#### Example Output

```json
{
  "asin": "B0CFV9XR2Q",
  "title": "Picun B8 Wireless Bluetooth Headphones",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CFV9XR2Q",
  "price": "$39.99",
  "originalPrice": "$49.99",
  "rating": "4.5",
  "reviewCount": "1234",
  "imageUrl": "https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714leNyXHIL._AC_UY218_.jpg",
  "isPrime": true,
  "isSponsored": false,
  "brand": "Picun",
  "category": "Electronics > Headphones > Over-Ear",
  "description": "Wireless Bluetooth Headphones with 120H Playtime",
  "features": ["120H Playtime", "3EQ Modes", "Built-in Microphone"],
  "seller": "Picun Official",
  "availability": "In Stock",
  "searchQuery": "wireless headphones"
}
```

### 🔧 How It Works

1. Searches Amazon for each query
2. Extracts product data from search results (ASIN, title, price, rating, etc.)
3. Optionally fetches full product details from each product page (brand, features, description)
4. Implements random delays to avoid rate limiting
5. Handles pagination to fetch multiple pages

### 🔗 Integration

- **Zapier**: Use the "Run Actor" action with dataset polling
- **Make.com**: Use the HTTP module to call the Actor API
- **n8n**: Use the Apify node or HTTP Request node
- **OpenAI MCP**: Connect via the Apify MCP server

### ⚠️ Notes

- Prices may appear in local currency based on proxy IP location
- Some products may have limited seller information
- Works with all Amazon regional sites (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, etc.)
- Respects Amazon's rate limits with configurable delays
