## Pricing

from $70.00 / 1,000 domain-matched ceo or founder contacts

This Actor is paid per event and usage. You are charged both the fixed price for specific events and for Apify platform usage.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## CEO, Founder & Leadership Email Finder by Domain

Find current CEO, founder, and select leadership contacts for one company domain. The Actor returns a row only when a work email is available and its domain matches the company requested.

### What it does

1. Accepts one company domain, such as `openai.com`.
2. Finds candidate profiles with one of these titles: CEO, Chief Executive Officer, Founder, Co-founder, Cofounder, President, Managing Partner, Chair, Chairman, Chairwoman, or Chairperson.
3. Enriches at most the requested number of candidate profiles.
4. Keeps only work emails at the input domain or one of its subdomains.

The dataset is intentionally strict: no personal email addresses, no foreign-company emails, and no rows for candidates without a matching work email.

#### Free-plan limit

Free Apify accounts receive 100 starter results shared across all eight Actors. The private links in `SUPPORTER_ACCESS` let a user submit honest feedback for 500 additional results valid for 30 days, or report a reproducible bug for 500 additional results after bug confirmation. No public review or positive feedback is required. Any paid Apify plan is uncapped by this internal result allowance; normal Apify platform and Actor charges still apply. If a limit applies, the Actor exits normally and explains the next steps in its log and key-value store.

### Input

| Field           | Required | Description                                                                 |
| --------------- | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `domain` | Yes | A company domain or URL. It is normalized to the domain host. |
| `maxCandidates` | No       | Maximum eligible leadership profiles to inspect, from 1 to 50. Default: 50. |

### Output

Each dataset item contains `fullName`, `title`, `contactType` (`ceo`, `founder`, or `leadership`), `workEmail`, the input domain, profile URL where available, and retrieval time. An `OUTPUT` key-value record provides aggregate run counts.

### Notes

Results depend on available public and licensed data. A company may return zero contacts when no matching eligible leadership work email is available. “Owner” and “Principal” are intentionally excluded to avoid false positives such as Product Owner and Principal Engineer. Use contact information responsibly and comply with applicable law and platform policies.

### Local development

Set the private runtime configuration before running locally:

```bash
export CEO_FOUNDER_API_BASE='https://your-private-service.example'
export CEO_FOUNDER_API_KEY='your-private-key'
apify run
```

Run checks with `npm test` and `npm run lint`.

# Actor input Schema

## `domain` (type: `string`):

A company domain such as openai.com. A URL is accepted and normalized to its host.

## `maxCandidates` (type: `integer`):

Caps profile enrichment and upstream usage for CEO, founder, President, Managing Partner, and Chair candidates at this single domain. Free-plan runs draw on the shared free allowance of 500 results across all eight Actors; paid-plan runs, and free accounts that earned supporter results, can use the selected limit up to 50.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "domain": "openai.com",
  "maxCandidates": 50
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `ceoFounderContacts` (type: `string`):

Domain-matched work-email records for CEO, founder, President, Managing Partner, and Chair titles.
