## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Jobs Scraper

Get every open job straight from companies' career sites, as clean JSON, CSV or Excel. Enter a **company name** (OpenAI), a **website** (stripe.com) or a **job board link**, and the Actor finds the job board and returns all open positions:

- **Title, department, team, location, remote / hybrid / on-site, employment type**
- **Posted date**, job page and apply links
- **Salary ranges** when the company publishes them
- **Full job description** as plain text

Works with the 8 most used applicant tracking systems: **Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio**.

### Why this Actor

- **Direct from the source**: jobs come from each company's own job board API, not from aggregators, so they're complete and up to date
- **Finds the job board for you** from a name or a website, so you don't need to know which ATS a company uses
- **Monitoring mode**: return only jobs that are new since your last run, and schedule it to track who's hiring
- **Filters**: title keywords, excluded words, locations, remote only, posted within N days
- **Fast and cheap**: no browser and no proxy needed. Hundreds of jobs in seconds.

### Use cases

- **Sales and lead generation**: hiring is a buying signal. Track target accounts and reach out when they open roles in your area
- **Recruiting and staffing**: watch competitors' and clients' openings
- **Job boards and aggregators**: feed fresh, structured jobs into your site
- **Market and salary research**: compare roles, locations and pay ranges across companies
- **AI agents**: give your agent live job data through the API

### How to use

1. Add companies: names, websites or job board links.
2. Optionally add filters.
3. Click **Start**, then download the results or connect them to Google Sheets, Make, Zapier, n8n or your own code.

### Track new jobs automatically

1. Add the companies you care about and turn on **Only new jobs (monitoring)**.
2. Click **Save as a new task** and schedule it (for example every morning) from **Schedules**.
3. Optionally connect an integration (email, Slack, Google Sheets) to get new jobs delivered.

The first run returns the open jobs (up to **Max jobs per company**, newest first) and remembers every job open at that moment. Later runs return only jobs posted after that, so **you only pay for new jobs**. Runs with the same input share one memory; set a **Monitor name** to keep several monitors apart or to start over.

### Input example

```json
{
  "companies": ["openai", "stripe.com", "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir"],
  "keywords": ["engineer", "sales"],
  "excludeKeywords": ["intern"],
  "locations": ["London", "Remote"],
  "postedWithinDays": 30,
  "maxJobsPerCompany": 200
}
```

**Supported links**, for example:
`job-boards.greenhouse.io/figma`, `jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/openai`, `nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite`, `apply.workable.com/huggingface`, `careers.smartrecruiters.com/BoschGroup`, `bunq.recruitee.com`, `personio.jobs.personio.de`.

### Output example

One result per job (description shortened):

```json
{
  "source": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
  "boardUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp",
  "companyName": "Ramp",
  "ats": "ashby",
  "boardId": "ramp",
  "jobId": "1c8e2b03-fcb3-4949-9113-07812f138eb6",
  "title": "Senior Analyst, Employee Lifecycle Data (Workday)",
  "department": "People & Talent",
  "team": "People & Talent",
  "location": "New York, NY (HQ)",
  "locations": ["New York, NY (HQ)"],
  "remote": false,
  "workplaceType": "hybrid",
  "employmentType": "FullTime",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-04T13:55:38Z",
  "updatedAt": null,
  "url": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/1c8e2b03-fcb3-4949-9113-07812f138eb6",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/ramp/1c8e2b03-fcb3-4949-9113-07812f138eb6/application",
  "salary": { "min": 90000, "max": 120000, "currency": "USD", "interval": "1 YEAR", "text": "$90K – $120K • Offers Equity" },
  "description": "ABOUT RAMP\n\nRamp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams...",
  "scrapedAt": "2026-10-05T00:22:07Z"
}
```

Fields a job board doesn't publish are `null`. For example, Lever and Ashby don't publish the company name, so the name you entered is used.

### Pricing

You pay per job delivered. Companies that fail are free, and in monitoring mode you only pay for new jobs. See the **Pricing** tab for the current price.

### FAQ

**The Actor couldn't find a company's job board. What now?**
Some companies run their own career site instead of a supported ATS. Open their careers page, click any job, and if the link goes to one of the supported job boards, paste that link instead of the name.

**Which job boards are supported?**
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio.

**Is it legal?**
The Actor reads the public job board APIs that these ATSs provide so companies can show their jobs anywhere. It collects job postings, not personal data. You are responsible for how you use the data.

**Do I need a proxy?**
No. These are public APIs. A proxy setting is available in case a board rate-limits you.

**Something doesn't work?**
Open an issue in the **Issues** tab with the input you used. Fixes are usually quick.

# Actor input Schema

## `companies` (type: `array`):

Job board links (e.g. https://jobs.lever.co/palantir or a Workday careers link), company websites (stripe.com) or company names (OpenAI). The Actor finds the job board automatically. Supported: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee and Personio.

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Only jobs whose title contains at least one of these words, e.g. engineer, sales, data.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose title contains any of these words, e.g. intern, senior.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Only jobs whose location contains one of these texts, e.g. London, Germany, Remote.

## `remoteOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only jobs marked as remote.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in this many days. 0 = any date.

## `maxJobsPerCompany` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many matching jobs for each company.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Full job description as plain text. Turn off for faster, smaller results.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Return only jobs that earlier runs with the same input haven't returned yet. Schedule this Actor or a task daily or weekly to track which companies are hiring. The first run returns the current jobs and remembers all of them; after that you only get, and pay for, jobs posted since.

## `monitoringId` (type: `string`):

Optional. Runs with the same monitor name share their memory of jobs already returned. Leave empty to keep one memory per input. Use a new name to start over.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many companies to process in parallel.

## `maxRetries` (type: `integer`):

How many times to retry a request when a job board is rate-limited or temporarily down.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Not needed: job boards publish these jobs through public APIs. Use a proxy only if a board starts rate-limiting you.
