## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

### What does Remote Jobs Scraper do?

It collects remote jobs from **6 job boards in one run** and returns them in one clean format, with duplicates removed:

| Board | What it adds |
|---|---|
| [Remote OK](https://remoteok.com) | tech and startup jobs, USD salary ranges |
| [Himalayas](https://himalayas.app) | 100,000+ remote jobs, salary, seniority, location rules |
| [Jobicy](https://jobicy.com) | remote jobs in every industry, salary |
| [We Work Remotely](https://weworkremotely.com) | one of the largest remote job boards |
| [Working Nomads](https://www.workingnomads.com) | curated remote jobs |
| [Arbeitnow](https://www.arbeitnow.com) | remote jobs in Europe, many visa-friendly |

- 🔎 Filter by **keywords**, **excluded words**, **location** (for example Worldwide, Europe, USA) and **posting date**
- 💰 Salary as numbers (min, max, currency, period) when the board gives it, plus `salaryText` read from the description when it doesn't
- 🔔 **Only new jobs** mode: schedule it daily and get only jobs you have not seen before, for Slack, email or Google Sheets alerts
- ⚡ Fast: no browser and no proxy, about 300 jobs in 20 seconds
- 💲 **$2 per 1,000 jobs**

### Use cases

- A personal remote job alert for your skills, every morning
- A niche remote job board or newsletter
- Recruiters and agencies tracking who is hiring remotely
- Salary and hiring trend research

### Input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["python", "data engineer"],
  "excludeKeywords": ["intern"],
  "locations": ["Worldwide", "Europe"],
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "onlyNewJobs": true,
  "maxItems": 200
}
```

Leave **Keywords** empty to get all the latest remote jobs. Turn on **Match keywords in title and tags only** for stricter results.

### Output

```json
{
  "title": "Senior React Full stack Developer",
  "company": "Lemon.io",
  "location": "Worldwide",
  "jobType": null,
  "seniority": null,
  "category": null,
  "tags": ["react", "javascript", "full stack"],
  "salaryMin": 80000,
  "salaryMax": 200000,
  "salaryCurrency": "USD",
  "salaryPeriod": "year",
  "salaryText": "80,000 - 200,000 USD per year",
  "postedAt": "2026-10-09T12:00:00+00:00",
  "url": "https://remoteok.com/remote-jobs/...",
  "applyUrl": "https://remoteok.com/remote-jobs/...",
  "companyLogo": "https://...",
  "source": "Remote OK",
  "description": "Plain text job description..."
}
```

Export as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or connect it to Google Sheets, Slack, Zapier or Make through the Apify API and integrations.

### Pricing

**$0.002 per job** saved ($2 per 1,000). Platform usage is included. Set **Max jobs** to cap the cost of each run.

### Notes

- Every job keeps its original `url` and its `source`, so you can link back to the board the job came from. Please credit the source board when you publish these jobs, as the boards ask.
- Some boards only publish their latest jobs (for example the last 50 to 100), so a daily schedule with **Only new jobs** builds the most complete feed.
- **Only new jobs** remembers jobs in a key-value store named `remote-jobs-aggregator-seen` on your account. Delete it to start fresh.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

Jobs that mention any of these words, for example python, designer, customer support. Leave empty to get all the latest remote jobs.

## `matchTitleOnly` (type: `boolean`):

On: a keyword must appear in the job title, tags or category. Off: the description counts too, which gives more but looser results.

## `excludeKeywords` (type: `array`):

Skip jobs whose title contains any of these words, for example senior, intern.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

Keep jobs open to any of these places, for example Worldwide, Europe, USA, Germany. 'Worldwide' matches jobs open anywhere. Leave empty for all.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only jobs posted in the last N days. 0 means no limit.

## `sources` (type: `array`):

Which boards to search. Default is all six.

## `onlyNewJobs` (type: `boolean`):

Skip jobs already returned by earlier runs of this Actor on your account. Turn on for a scheduled daily or hourly job alert.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Add the job description as plain text.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many jobs. Caps the cost of a run.
