## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Workday Jobs Scraper

**Workday Jobs Scraper** extracts job postings from any public **Workday** career site (`*.myworkdayjobs.com`). Thousands of employers including NVIDIA, Salesforce, Adobe and Intel use Workday for recruiting. Paste a career page URL and get clean, structured job data: title, location, country, requisition ID, posted date, full-time/part-time, remote type, full job description and a direct link to apply.

The Actor uses the same public Workday JSON API (the `wday/cxs` endpoint) that powers the career pages in your browser, so it is **fast, lightweight and reliable**: no browser, no login, no cookies, no proxies.

### Why use this Workday scraper?

- **Works with any myworkdayjobs site.** Paste the career page URL (`https://{company}.wdN.myworkdayjobs.com/{site}`). Locale prefixes like `/en-US/` and individual job URLs are supported.
- **Full job details.** Optionally fetch each job's description, country, time type, remote type and start date.
- **Keyword search and freshness filter.** Search with the career site's own search engine and keep only jobs posted in the last N days.
- **Multiple companies in one run.** Monitor dozens of employers at once.
- **Pay per result.** You only pay for the jobs you get.

### What data do you get?

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `company` | Workday tenant (company identifier), e.g. `nvidia` |
| `site` | Career site name |
| `jobReqId` | Job requisition ID |
| `title` | Job title |
| `location`, `additionalLocations`, `locationsText` | Locations |
| `country` | Country of the primary location |
| `timeType` | Full time / Part time |
| `remoteType` | Remote / hybrid / on-site label (when provided) |
| `postedOnText`, `postedDate` | Original label ("Posted 3 Days Ago") and approximate ISO date |
| `startDate` | Posting start date reported by Workday |
| `jobUrl` | Public link to the job posting |
| `descriptionText` | Job description as plain text (max 5,000 characters) |
| `scrapedAt` | Timestamp of extraction |

### Use cases

- **Recruiting and talent sourcing:** track new openings at target companies and react the same day.
- **Sales intelligence and lead generation:** hiring signals reveal growth, new offices and budgets.
- **Job boards and aggregators:** feed fresh Workday postings into your platform.
- **Labor-market and competitor research:** analyze hiring trends by role, location and remote policy.
- **Career monitoring:** schedule the Actor with `postedWithinDays: 1` to catch new roles.

#### Example input

```json
{
  "startUrls": [
    { "url": "https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite" },
    { "url": "https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External_Career_Site" }
  ],
  "searchText": "data engineer",
  "includeDetails": true,
  "postedWithinDays": 7,
  "maxJobsPerSite": 200
}
```

### Pricing: pay per result

You are charged for each job saved to the dataset, nothing else. Use `maxJobsPerSite`, `maxItems` and `postedWithinDays` to control cost. The run stops automatically when your maximum cost per run is reached.

### Notes and limitations

- Workday's public API returns at most **2,000 jobs per search** on a career site. For very large employers, use `searchText` to split searches.
- `postedDate` is approximate: Workday only shows relative labels, and anything older than 30 days is shown as "Posted 30+ Days Ago".
- Some fields (e.g. `remoteType`) are only present if the employer fills them in.
- Only publicly available job postings are collected.

This Actor is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Workday, Inc. or any employer whose career site it accesses.

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Workday career page URLs, e.g. https://nvidia.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/NVIDIAExternalCareerSite or https://salesforce.wd12.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/External_Career_Site. Locale prefixes (/en-US/) and individual job URLs are supported too.

## `searchText` (type: `string`):

Optional keyword search applied on each Workday site (same as the search box on the career page), e.g. "data engineer". Leave empty to get all jobs.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Fetch the detail page of every job to get the full description, country, time type, remote type and start date. Turn off for a faster, listing-only scrape.

## `postedWithinDays` (type: `integer`):

Only keep jobs posted within the last N days (based on Workday's 'Posted X Days Ago' label). Leave empty to keep all jobs. Note: Workday shows anything older than 30 days as '30+ Days Ago'.

## `maxJobsPerSite` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to save from each career site. 0 = no limit (Workday's API exposes at most 2,000 jobs per search; use searchText to narrow down large sites).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to save across all sites in this run. 0 = no limit.
