## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## 🛒 AliExpress Search Scraper

Scrape **AliExpress search results** for any keyword. Each product comes with its price and original price, discount, rating, **exact order count** (not just "1,000+ sold"), ship-from country and images. Sort by most orders or by price, filter by price, and pick the ship-to country, currency and language so prices match your market.

🛡️ **Fair by design.** Runs on residential IPs and retries automatically after network errors. If AliExpress refuses a request (for example with a bot check), the page is marked `BLOCKED` and you aren't charged. We don't try to get around AliExpress' protections. In our latest test, 120 of 120 results came back.

💸 **Simple pricing.** $2 per 1,000 search results. Blocked or failed pages are free.

### ✨ What you can use it for

- 📦 **Dropshipping and product research:** find what actually sells, using exact order counts, ratings and prices.
- 💲 **Price tracking:** follow prices and discounts for your keywords over time.
- 📊 **Market analysis:** see how many products compete for a keyword and what they cost.
- 🤖 **Data for tools and AI:** feed clean product rows into spreadsheets, dashboards or AI agents.

### 📥 Input

| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
| Search keywords | e.g. `wireless earbuds`. Each keyword returns up to *Max results per keyword* (60 per page). |
| Sort by | Best match, most orders, or price. |
| Min / max price | Optional price filter. |
| Ship to country / currency / language | e.g. `US` / `USD` / `en_US`, or `DE` / `EUR` / `de_DE`. |

Example:

```json
{
    "searchQueries": ["wireless earbuds", "yoga mat"],
    "maxItemsPerQuery": 120,
    "sort": "orders",
    "country": "US",
    "currency": "USD"
}
```

### 📤 Output

One row per product:

```json
{
    "status": "OK",
    "productId": "3256807728241849",
    "url": "https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256807728241849.html",
    "title": "RGB Led Strip Lights 5m 10m 20m 30m Led Room Light with APP Control...",
    "image": "https://ae-pic-a1.aliexpress-media.com/kf/....jpg",
    "price": 1.49,
    "originalPrice": 5.2,
    "currency": "USD",
    "discountPercent": 71,
    "rating": 4.5,
    "orders": 167907,
    "soldText": "100K+ sold",
    "shipFrom": "CN",
    "searchQuery": "led strip lights",
    "position": 1
}
```

Pages that don't come back are listed too, free of charge: `{ "status": "BLOCKED", "searchQuery": "...", "page": 2, "error": "..." }`. `FAILED` means a network error.

### 💰 Pricing

**$0.002 per search result** ($2 per 1,000). Blocked and failed pages are free. Runs stop on their own at the spending limit you set.

### ❓ FAQ

**How exact are order counts?** Each result includes the exact number of orders AliExpress uses internally (e.g. `167907`), next to the rounded text shown on the site (`100K+ sold`).

**Can I get prices in EUR for Germany?** Yes. Set country `DE`, currency `EUR` and language `de_DE`.

**Can I get full product details (variants, stock, shipping)?** Not at the moment. AliExpress protects its product-detail data with bot checks, and we don't get around them.

**Do I need a proxy?** Yes. AliExpress refuses many requests from datacenter IPs, so residential proxies are the default.

**Is it legal?** It collects publicly visible product data, with no personal data and no login, and it respects AliExpress' blocks. Check that your use complies with the terms and laws that apply to you.
