## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Company Data Enrichment by Domain

**Domain in, company profile out.** Pass a list of domains, LinkedIn company URLs or names and get one row per company: what it does, how big it is, how much it earns and raised, what runs on its website, how to reach it — and whether the team is growing or shrinking right now.

No scraping, no LinkedIn cookies, no proxies on your side. Results come from a pre-built index, so a company takes about a second.

### What you get per company

| Group | Fields | Example (stripe.com) |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | name, domain, LinkedIn page, description, industry, specialties, founded year | Technology, Information and Internet · founded 2010 |
| Size | employee range, employees on LinkedIn, followers | 5001-10000 · 15,142 |
| Money | revenue, revenue range, public company and tickers, total funding, rounds, last funding date | revenue range > 1B · 21 rounds · last 2025-03-27 |
| Location | headquarters | South San Francisco, California |
| Tech | website tech stack, engineers, programming languages of the team | Salesforce, Contentful, Algolia… · TypeScript, Python, Go |
| Contacts | company emails and phones (general lines, not employees) | sales@stripe.com |
| Momentum | joined / left in 6 and 12 months, senior moves, layoff posts, hiring focus | 46 joined / 16 left in 12 months |
| Verdict | stage and when to reach out | *actively hiring — there is budget, and a window for new tools* |
| Team | seniority and department mix, decision-makers, talent flows to other companies | |

### Who it is for

- **Sales and RevOps** — enrich a CRM or a target account list with firmographics and tech stack; prioritise accounts that are growing.
- **Lead scoring and routing** — size, revenue and industry for every inbound domain.
- **Investors and analysts** — funding, revenue range and team growth in one row.
- **Recruiters** — companies where senior people are leaving.

### How to use

Paste domains (best), LinkedIn company URLs or company names into **Companies** and run. Export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or call the Actor from your own code, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent.

Need the people at these companies? Use our [People Search](https://apify.com/aidenix/people-search) actor with the same domains. Checking emails before a send? [Email Intel](https://apify.com/aidenix/email-intel).

### Pricing

**$0.05 per company found.** Companies we could not match are returned with `note: not found` and are free.

### Data notes

- Firmographics merge several company databases; revenue for private companies is an estimate (see `revenue_range`).
- Movement is counted from career start and end dates on public professional profiles. Profiles refresh monthly, so the most recent 1–2 months are under-counted.
- Counts come from a capped sample of each company's people — read them as a trend, not an exact headcount.
- Business data about the company only: no names, emails or phone numbers of employees are returned.
