## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Company Hiring Momentum

**Domain in, account signal out.** For every company you pass, get how many people joined and left in the last 6 and 12 months, how many of them were senior, whether there were layoff posts, what the team is hiring for — and a one-line verdict on when to reach out.

No scraping, no LinkedIn cookies, no proxies on your side. Results come from a pre-built index of career histories, so a company takes seconds.

### What you get per company

| Field | Example (grafana.com) |
|---|---|
| Stage | `growth` |
| When to reach out | *actively hiring (1.5x more arrivals than departures) — there is budget, and a window for new tools* |
| Joined / left, 12 months | 57 / 37 |
| Senior joined / left, 12 months | 24 / 18 |
| Hiring focus | AI |
| Team mix | seniority and department breakdown |
| Firmographics | industry, size, HQ, funding, revenue range |
| Tech | engineers, programming languages, website tech stack |
| Talent flows | companies the team is most connected to |
| Recent signals | hiring, attrition, product and partnership posts with dates |

### Who it is for

- **Sales and SDR teams** — prioritise accounts that are growing or just changed leadership; skip the ones shedding people.
- **Recruiters** — find companies where senior people are leaving.
- **Investors** — a quick read on whether a team is growing or contracting.

### How to use

Paste domains (best) or company names into **Companies** and run. One row per company in the dataset; export to CSV, Excel or JSON, or call the Actor from your own code, Make, Zapier or an AI agent.

### Pricing

You pay only for companies that were found. Companies we could not match are returned with `note: not found` and are free.

### Data notes

- Movement is counted from career start and end dates on public professional profiles. Profiles refresh monthly, so the most recent 1–2 months are under-counted.
- Counts come from a capped sample of each company's people — read them as a trend, not an exact headcount.
- Business data about the company only: no names, emails or phone numbers of employees are returned.
