## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## AliExpress Search Scraper - Prices, Sales & Ratings

Get **AliExpress products for any keyword or search URL**: current price, price before discount and discount %, units sold, rating, delivery estimate, badges and images, for the delivery country and currency you choose.

Fast and reliable: no browser, about 60 products per request, automatic retries with fresh sessions, and **you only pay for products delivered**.

### Typical uses

- **Product research and dropshipping**: find what sells (sort by most orders) and at what price.
- **Price monitoring**: schedule the same searches daily and compare prices and discounts.
- **Market studies**: count products, price ranges and sales levels for a niche.

### How to use it

1. Enter **search queries** (one per line) or paste **AliExpress search or category URLs**.
2. Choose how many products you want per search, the **sort order** and an optional **price range**.
3. Set the **delivery country** and **currency** (default: US, USD).
4. Click **Start** and download the results as JSON, CSV or Excel.

### Input example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["phone case", "led strip lights"],
  "maxItemsPerSearch": 200,
  "sortBy": "orders",
  "shipToCountry": "US",
  "currency": "USD"
}
```

### Output example

```json
{
  "search": "phone case",
  "page": 1,
  "position": 1,
  "productId": "3256808722668670",
  "title": "Luxury Magnetic Matte Translucent Armor Shockproof Case For iPhone 11 12 13 14 15 16 For Magsafe Wireless Charge Cover",
  "url": "https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256808722668670.html",
  "price": 0.33,
  "originalPrice": 5.93,
  "discountPercent": 94,
  "currency": "USD",
  "rating": 4.9,
  "soldText": "100K+ sold",
  "soldCount": 100000,
  "delivery": "Delivery: Oct 23 - 28",
  "imageUrl": "https://ae-pic-a1.aliexpress-media.com/kf/....jpg",
  "shipTo": "US"
}
```

### Good to know

- `soldCount` is a lower bound read from AliExpress labels such as "10,000+ sold".
- For US and Canada, AliExpress mixes **new-user deal cards** without a price into the results. They are skipped by default so that every product has a price; turn the option off to keep them.
- Prices and delivery estimates depend on the delivery country.

### Pricing

**$3.00 per 1,000 products** (pay per event). Pages that fail after every retry cost nothing. Set a maximum cost per run in the run options for a hard cap.

#### How much does it cost to scrape AliExpress?

| Run | Cost |
| --- | --- |
| One search, first page (60 products) | $0.18 |
| One search, 5 pages (300 products) | $0.90 |
| 1,000 products | $3.00 |

Apify's free plan includes $5 of usage every month: enough for about 1,600 products a month without paying anything.

### Use it from code or from an AI agent

Run it through the Apify API or the Python/JavaScript clients, or let an assistant call it as a tool through the Apify MCP server.
