### 2026-09-23 (proxy)

- Runs that use Apify Proxy now always go through the residential proxy group, even when the input selects no group or a different one. Before, an empty group list meant datacenter proxies, which Facebook answers with a login wall or a rate-limit error, so such runs returned nothing. The run log says so in one line.
- No extra cost: you pay per comment, and proxy usage is not billed to you.

### 2026-09-17

- Every comment and reply now carries `reactions`: the number of each reaction type (like, love, care, haha, wow, sad, angry) as Facebook shows it, next to the `likesCount` total. No extra cost.
- Prices lowered: $0.30 per 1,000 comments on the free plan, $0.27 / $0.24 / $0.20 on Starter / Scale / Business (was $0.50 / $0.45 / $0.40 / $0.35). Still no start fee and no filter surcharge; the price per comment is the final price, platform usage included.

### 2026-09-15

- Some posts show no comments in the All order to visitors without a login, although they have hundreds. When the first batch comes back empty on a post that reports comments, the Actor now tries the Newest order and then Most relevant, and says so in the log. Such posts returned 0 comments before.
- Network error messages in the run log no longer include server addresses.
- A link that shows a Facebook page or profile instead of a single post (a page URL, `profile.php?id=`, `/people/...`, a page's posts tab, a shared profile link) is now reported as not usable, and nothing is charged. Before, the Actor returned and charged the comments of whichever post it found first on that page.
- The Most relevant order now asks Facebook for the comments when the post page itself carries none, instead of stopping with 0 comments.

### 2026-09-09

- Price halved: $0.50 per 1,000 comments on the free plan, $0.45 / $0.40 / $0.35 on Starter / Scale / Business. Still no start fee and no filter surcharge.
- Facebook rate-limit answers on pagination wait longer before the retry, and every request now gets seven attempts, so a rough proxy minute no longer loses a post.
- Store description and README now name the plain use cases (export Facebook comments to Excel or CSV, n8n, Make, Zapier, AI agents via MCP).
- A post that Facebook does not show without a login (private profile, removed post, comments switched off, wrong URL) no longer ends the run as failed: the run finishes with a status message saying which URLs could not be scraped, and nothing is charged for them.
- Post pages that come back without their comments section are fetched again before being given up on, so a one-off bad response does not lose the post.
- The scraper always uses a residential proxy on the platform, even when the proxy is switched off in the input (Facebook blocks direct requests, so such runs could only fail).
- Small platform hiccups (input download) are retried instead of failing the run.

### 2026-09-08 (proxy update)

- Proxy handling hardened: the scraper checks its route at start and switches to a backup route by itself if the primary one fails, so runs finish instead of erroring.
- The proxy country picked in the input now applies to the default residential route as well.
