## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## LUCID packaging register check: is this company or brand registered in Germany?

Look up a **company name**, **brand**, **LUCID register number** or **tax number** in the **public German packaging register** (Verpackungsregister LUCID). Shops and marketplaces that sell packaged goods into Germany use it to see whether a supplier is registered. No login, no code. Type a name, click **Start**, download **Excel**. The same fields are the API input.

A row with **found = false** means the public search returned no match. That is a result, not an error.

### How to check a supplier in 4 steps

1. Type a company or brand. The form is filled with **Adidas**.
2. Choose **Company name** or **Brand**.
3. Click **Start**. Open **Output** and export **Excel**.
4. Optional: turn on **Only new matches** and schedule it weekly for a supplier list.

### What you get

| Query | Found | Company | Register number | City |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Adidas | true | adidas AG | DE3936221000410 | (as published) |

The register publishes the number, address, country, registration date and tax number. Brand search matches the brand names the company filed.

### Auf Deutsch

Prüft das **öffentliche Herstellerregister LUCID** der Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister. Eingabe: Firmenname, Marke, Registernummer oder Steuernummer. Ausgabe: Excel. **found = false** heißt: kein Treffer in der öffentlichen Suche. Das ersetzt keine Rechtsberatung und sagt nichts über die Systembeteiligung.

### Input (form = API)

| Field | What it does | Example |
|---|---|---|
| **queries** | Names, one per line. API: array or one string. | `Adidas` |
| **searchIn** | `company`, `brand`, `registerNumber`, `taxNumber` | `company` |
| **maxMatches** | Cap per name (1–25). | `10` |
| **onlyNew** | Skip register numbers you already received. | `false` |
| **alertName** | Separate memory per list. | `suppliers` |

API aliases: `query`, `names`, `companies`, `brands`, `searchField`, `limit`.

### Pricing

**$0.01 per row**, including a not-found row. Rows skipped by **onlyNew** are free. SILVER 10% off, GOLD and above 20% off.

### FAQ

**Does “not found” mean the company is illegal?** No. The name may be spelled differently, or the company may be registered under another legal name. Try the brand and the tax number.

**Do I need a LUCID login?** No. This uses the public register search, not the token API.

**Is the system-participation contract included?** No. The public register shows the registration, not the contract with a system operator.

### For developers: API

`POST https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/alpine-data~lucid-packaging-register/runs?token=YOUR_TOKEN`

```json
{
  "queries": ["Adidas", "Nivea"],
  "searchIn": "brand",
  "maxMatches": 5,
  "onlyNew": false
}
```

An empty body runs the Adidas example.

### Data source

Public register of the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister. This Actor is not affiliated with the ZSVR. Data is only as complete as the public search.

# Actor input Schema

## `queries` (type: `array`):

One name per line. Company name, brand, LUCID register number (DE…) or tax number, depending on the next field. API: an array, or one comma-separated string.

## `searchIn` (type: `string`):

Where to look. API values: company, brand, registerNumber, taxNumber. German aliases firma, marke, registernummer also work.

## `maxMatches` (type: `integer`):

Cost cap. Each returned row, including a not-found row, is one lookup.

## `onlyNew` (type: `boolean`):

For a weekly supplier check. Already returned register numbers are free.

## `alertName` (type: `string`):

Separate memory when you watch more than one supplier list.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "queries": [
    "Adidas"
  ],
  "searchIn": "company",
  "maxMatches": 10,
  "onlyNew": false
}
