# Generate SRT subtitles from a video or audio URL

**Use case:**

Give a direct media URL and get broadcast-shaped captions back: SRT and VTT with cues split at 42 characters per line, two lines per cue, and a six-second maximum. No API key and no upload step — the model runs inside the Actor. Direct media files only; platform URLs such as YouTube are not supported.

## Input

## About this Actor

This example demonstrates how to use [SRT Subtitles Generator — video & audio to SRT/VTT captions](https://apify.com/amanatools/srt-subtitles-generator.md) with a specific input configuration. Visit the [Actor detail page](https://apify.com/amanatools/srt-subtitles-generator.md) to learn more, explore other use cases, and run it yourself.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.
This Task's input is already configured above — use it as-is rather than inventing a new one.
