## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## LinkedIn Jobs Scraper with Hiring Signals

Scrape public LinkedIn job listings by keyword and location — and see at a glance which companies are hiring hardest.

No LinkedIn account, no cookies, no login. The scraper reads the same public job pages anyone can open on linkedin.com/jobs without signing in. Only job postings are collected — never member profiles.

### What you get

#### Per job

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title`, `company`, `companyUrl`, `companyLogo` | The role and who is hiring |
| `location` | Where the job is |
| `postedAt`, `postedText` | Posting date |
| `salary` | `{ text, min, max, currency, interval }` when LinkedIn shows a pay range |
| `seniorityLevel`, `employmentType`, `jobFunction`, `industries` | LinkedIn's own job criteria |
| `applicants` | How many people have applied |
| `applyType`, `isEasyApply` | Whether candidates apply on the company's own site (`external`) or with LinkedIn Easy Apply (`easyApply`) |
| `applyUrl` | The company's own application page, when LinkedIn shows it to logged-out visitors (often it does not) |
| `description` | Full description as clean text, bullet points kept |
| `benefits`, `isPromoted`, `isClosed` | Extra card details |
| `url`, `jobId` | A clean, stable job link |

#### Per company — free hiring signals

One record per company in your results:

- **Matching jobs** open right now, and how many were **posted this week**
- The titles, locations and seniority levels they are hiring for
- Industry and average applicants per job

A company posting five data-engineering roles this week is about to buy data tools, hire agencies and pay recruiters. That list is a lead list.

### Input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["data engineer", "analytics engineer"],
  "locations": ["Germany", "Netherlands"],
  "datePosted": "week",
  "workplaceTypes": ["remote", "hybrid"],
  "maxJobsPerSearch": 200
}
```

Every keyword is searched in every location. You can also paste search URLs straight from linkedin.com/jobs/search — every filter you set there is kept.

#### Filters

Date posted (24 hours, week, month), job type, experience level, workplace (on-site, remote, hybrid), Easy Apply only, and a list of companies to exclude (useful for staffing agencies).

### Common uses

- **Sales prospecting** — companies hiring for a function are buying for it. Use the hiring signals as your account list.
- **Recruiting agencies** — find fresh roles to pitch candidates for
- **Job boards and newsletters** — a daily feed of new roles in a niche
- **Salary and market research** — pay ranges, seniority mix and applicant volume by role and region

### Notes and limits

- LinkedIn shows at most about 1,000 results for a single search. Split large searches by location or keyword.
- Salary appears only when the employer publishes it on LinkedIn.
- LinkedIn limits automated traffic. The scraper retries with fresh sessions automatically; for very large runs, the residential proxy group is the most reliable.
- Only public job postings are collected. No profiles, no personal data, no login.
- Independent tool. Not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to LinkedIn.

### Pairs well with

**[Company Jobs Scraper](https://apify.com/anatolia-data/ats-jobs-scraper)** — every open job straight from a company's own Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby or Workday board, including roles never posted on LinkedIn.

### Pricing

Pay per job returned. Hiring signals and status records are free. You can cap spend per run with **Max cost per run** in the Apify Console.

### Support

Something missing or wrong? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab with the input you used and the run ID.

# Actor input Schema

## `keywords` (type: `array`):

One search per line, as you would type it on LinkedIn: data engineer, "product manager" fintech, nurse.

## `locations` (type: `array`):

One per line: a country, region or city (Germany, London, United States, Remote). Every keyword is searched in every location. Leave empty for worldwide.

## `searchUrls` (type: `array`):

Or paste job search URLs straight from linkedin.com/jobs/search — every filter you set there is kept.

## `datePosted` (type: `string`):

Only jobs posted within this period.

## `jobTypes` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all.

## `experienceLevels` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all.

## `workplaceTypes` (type: `array`):

Leave empty for all.

## `easyApplyOnly` (type: `boolean`):

Only jobs you can apply to directly on LinkedIn.

## `excludeCompanies` (type: `array`):

Drop jobs from these companies (for example staffing agencies). Matches part of the name, case-insensitive.

## `maxJobsPerSearch` (type: `integer`):

LinkedIn shows at most about 1,000 results for one search. Split big searches by location or keyword to go further.

## `includeDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Opens each job for its description, seniority, employment type, industry, applicant count and external apply link. Turn off for a faster, card-only list.

## `includeCompanySignals` (type: `boolean`):

One free record per company in the results: how many matching jobs it has open, how many were posted this week, where, and at what level.

## `sortByDate` (type: `boolean`):

Sort results by date instead of relevance.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is required. If LinkedIn starts refusing requests, switch to the residential group.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):
