## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Pinterest Search Scraper – Pins, Links, Products & Prices

Search Pinterest like a user does and get every pin as a clean row: title, description, image, the **website it links to**, the **product and price** when it is a shopping pin, reactions, and who pinned it to which board.

No login and no Pinterest API access needed.

### What you get

#### Per pin

| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| `title`, `description`, `altText` | What the pin says, plus Pinterest's own description of the image |
| `imageUrl`, `imageWidth`, `imageHeight`, `dominantColor` | Full-size image |
| `link`, `domain`, `siteName` | Where the pin sends traffic |
| `productName`, `price`, `currency`, `inStock` | For product pins |
| `reactions` | Likes and reactions |
| `isVideo`, `isIdeaPin`, `isPromoted` | Pin format, and whether it is an ad |
| `createdAt` | When it was pinned |
| `pinnerUsername`, `pinnerFollowers`, `boardName`, `boardUrl` | Who saved it and where |
| `pinUrl`, `query`, `position` | Link to the pin, the search that found it and its rank |

#### Per search (free)

- **Top linked domains**: which websites win this search on Pinterest
- Top pinners
- Share of pins that link out, show a product or are videos
- Median product price

### Input

```json
{
  "searchQueries": ["kitchen ideas", "boho bedroom decor"],
  "maxPinsPerQuery": 200,
  "onlyWithLink": true
}
```

**Filters:**

- Only pins that link to a website
- Only product pins
- A minimum number of reactions
- Exclude promoted pins

You pay only for the pins that pass your filters.

### Common uses

- **Ecommerce and dropshipping:** find products and price points that are trending in a niche, and the stores selling them.
- **SEO and content marketing:** see which domains get Pinterest traffic for your keywords.
- **Trend research:** track what is saved for seasonal searches.
- **Creative inspiration and datasets:** images with descriptions and alt text.

### Notes and limits

- Pinterest personalises and reshuffles results. Two runs of the same search can differ slightly.
- Only public pins are collected. The scraper never logs in.
- This is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Pinterest.

### Pricing

You pay per pin returned. Search summaries and status rows are free. You can cap spend per run with **Max cost per run** in the Apify Console.

### Support

Something missing or wrong? Open an issue on the **Issues** tab with the input you used and the run ID.

# Actor input Schema

## `searchQueries` (type: `array`):

One per line, exactly as you would type them into Pinterest search. A pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=… link works too.

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Same as above, for long lists loaded from a file or another Actor.

## `maxPinsPerQuery` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many pins for each search.

## `onlyWithLink` (type: `boolean`):

Skip pins uploaded directly to Pinterest. Useful to find which websites win a search.

## `onlyProducts` (type: `boolean`):

Keep only pins that show a product with a price.

## `minReactions` (type: `integer`):

Keep only pins with at least this many reactions.

## `excludePromoted` (type: `boolean`):

Leave out ads.

## `includeQuerySummary` (type: `boolean`):

Add one free row per search: top linked domains, top pinners, share of product and video pins and the median product price.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Apify Proxy is recommended.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

How many searches run at once.

## Actor input object example

```json
{
  "searchQueries": [
    "kitchen ideas",
    "boho bedroom decor"
  ],
  "excludePromoted": false,
  "includeQuerySummary": true,
  "proxyConfiguration": {
    "useApifyProxy": true
  },
  "maxConcurrency": 3
}
```

# Actor output Schema

## `results` (type: `string`):

All rows.

## `overview` (type: `string`):

Open the dataset in a table view.
