## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper

One Actor for both stores. Paste Google Play and App Store links, get every review as a row (star rating, title, text, date, app version, helpful votes, developer reply) plus one details row per app (rating, rating count, installs, price, version, release and update dates, description).

Use it to read what users say about your app or a competitor's, build a complaint tracker filtered to 1-star reviews, feed review text into an LLM for theme analysis, or compare ratings across countries.

### What you get

Review rows (`type: review`):

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `store` | `google_play` or `app_store` |
| `appId`, `appTitle` | `com.spotify.music`, `Spotify: Music and Podcasts` |
| `rating` | `2` |
| `title` | App Store review title (Google Play reviews have none) |
| `content` | the review text |
| `date` | `2026-10-25T14:03:11+00:00` |
| `appVersion` | `9.0.44.478` |
| `thumbsUpCount` | helpful votes |
| `developerReply`, `developerReplyDate` | the developer's public reply (Google Play) |
| `country`, `language`, `url` | |

App rows (`type: app`): `title`, `developer`, `score`, `ratingsCount`, `reviewsCount`, `histogram` (1 to 5 star counts, Google Play), `installs` and `realInstalls` (Google Play), `price`, `currency`, `free`, `genre`, `contentRating`, `released`, `updated`, `version`, `description`, `icon`, `url`. App Store rows add `scoreCurrentVersion`, `bundleId`, `minimumOsVersion`, `sizeBytes`, `releaseNotes`.

Rows with `type: error` tell you which input could not be fetched and why.

### Input

| Field | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| `appUrls` | required | Google Play and App Store URLs, any mix. |
| `appIds` | | Package names or numeric App Store IDs instead of URLs. |
| `maxReviewsPerApp` | 100 | Google Play goes to thousands; the App Store feed stops at 500 per country. `0` returns details only. |
| `sort` | newest | `newest`, `most_relevant`, `rating`. |
| `filterScore` | | Only reviews with this star rating. |
| `country` | us | Store country. A country inside an App Store URL overrides it. |
| `language` | en | Google Play language. |
| `includeAppDetails` | true | One free details row per app. |
| `concurrency` | 4 | Apps in parallel. |

Example: collect the newest 500 one-star reviews of an app in the UK store.

```json
{
  "appUrls": [{ "url": "https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.spotify.music" }],
  "maxReviewsPerApp": 500,
  "filterScore": 1,
  "country": "gb",
  "language": "en"
}
```

### Pricing

You pay per review returned. App details rows and failed inputs are free. Run both stores for one app and you get two details rows and two review sets.

### Notes and limits

- App Store reviews come from Apple's public review feed, which serves the 500 most recent (or most helpful) reviews per country. For more coverage, run the same app across several countries.
- App Store reviews do not include developer replies; Google Play reviews do.
- Google Play review counts above a few thousand per app take longer; the Actor pages through them in batches of 200.
- Google Play occasionally rate-limits bursts. Lower `concurrency` if you see errors.

### Support

Open an issue on the Actor's Issues tab with the app URL and the error row you got.

# Actor input Schema

## `appUrls` (type: `array`):

Google Play URLs (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=...) and App Store URLs (apps.apple.com/us/app/.../id...). Mix both stores freely.

## `appIds` (type: `array`):

Optional. Google Play package names (com.example.app) or App Store numeric IDs (324684580).

## `maxReviewsPerApp` (type: `integer`):

Google Play can go to thousands. The App Store feed serves at most 500 per country. Set 0 for app details only.

## `sort` (type: `string`):

newest, most_relevant, or rating (Google Play). The App Store supports newest and most helpful.

## `filterScore` (type: `integer`):

Optional. 1 to 5. Return only reviews with this rating, for example 1 to collect complaints.

## `country` (type: `string`):

Two-letter store country (us, gb, th, de ...). App Store URLs that include a country override this.

## `language` (type: `string`):

Two-letter language code for Google Play review text and app details.

## `includeAppDetails` (type: `boolean`):

Adds one free row per app with title, developer, rating, rating count, installs, price, version, release and update dates, description.

## `concurrency` (type: `integer`):

Apps processed in parallel.
