## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## TED Scraper - EU Public Procurement Tenders & Contract Notices

Extract public tenders from **TED (Tenders Electronic Daily)**, the official journal of European Union public procurement. Every contract above the EU threshold is published here: who is buying, what they need, how much it is worth and when the deadline is.

Filter by **CPV code**, **country** and **publication date**, and export structured tender data for sales pipelines, bid management and market analysis. Official EU source, no API key required.

### What you get per tender

| Field | Example |
|---|---|
| `publicationNumber` | 317190-2026 |
| `title` | Germany-Hamburg: IT services, consulting and software development |
| `buyerName` | Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg |
| `buyerCountry` | DEU |
| `publicationDate` | 2026-09-14 |
| `tenderDeadline` | 2026-10-20 |
| `totalValue` | contract value where published |
| `cpvCodes` | \["72000000"] |
| `placeOfPerformance` | \["DE600"] |
| `noticeType`, `contractNature` | contract notice, services |
| `noticeUrl`, `xmlUrl` | full notice on ted.europa.eu |

### Search filters

- **cpvCode** - Common Procurement Vocabulary code, e.g. `72000000` (IT services), `45000000` (construction), `79000000` (business services), `33600000` (pharmaceuticals)
- **country** - three-letter buyer country, e.g. `DEU`, `FRA`, `ITA`, `ESP`, `POL`
- **publishedAfter** / **publishedBefore** - date range, `YYYY-MM-DD`
- **language** - preferred language for titles and buyer names, e.g. `eng`, `deu`, `fra`
- **maxResults** - up to 2000 notices per run

At least one of cpvCode, country or publishedAfter is required.

### Example input

```json
{
  "cpvCode": "72000000",
  "country": "DEU",
  "publishedAfter": "2026-08-01",
  "language": "eng",
  "maxResults": 200
}
```

### Use cases

- **Bid and tender monitoring** - track new opportunities in your CPV category and country, daily
- **B2B sales pipelines** - find public buyers actively purchasing your category of product or service
- **Competitive intelligence** - see which authorities award which contracts and at what value
- **Market sizing** - aggregate tender volume per country, sector and period
- **Consulting and bid writing** - build a searchable archive of relevant notices
- **Public sector research** - analyse procurement patterns across the EU

### Why TED

TED publishes roughly 750 000 procurement notices per year, covering around EUR 670 billion in public spending. Publication is a legal requirement for contracts above the EU thresholds, so coverage is complete rather than sampled. The data is official, free to reuse and not protected by anti-bot measures.

### Notes

- Notices are multilingual. The actor picks your preferred `language`, falling back to English and then to whatever is available.
- `totalValue` and `tenderDeadline` are only present when the contracting authority published them.
- Results are deduplicated by publication number within a run.
