## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

## Website Contact Extractor - Emails, Phones & Social Profiles

Give it a list of company websites, get back one clean row per company: **emails, phone numbers, social media profiles, address and company name**. Built for lead generation, CRM enrichment and outreach teams who need contact data they can actually use.

**You only pay for websites where contacts were found.** Websites that are offline or have no contact details are free.

### What it extracts

| Field | Details |
|---|---|
| emails | From mailto: links, page text, structured data, **obfuscated emails** (name \[at] company \[dot] com) and **Cloudflare-protected emails**. Emails on the company's own domain are listed first. |
| phones | From tel: links and page text, **validated** with Google's libphonenumber and returned in international E.164 format (+33296112233) plus the original display text. Order numbers, IDs and dates are filtered out. |
| socials | LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, GitHub, Telegram, WhatsApp, Threads. Share buttons and post links are ignored, URLs are normalized. |
| addresses | Postal address from schema.org structured data when the website provides it. |
| companyName | From structured data, og:site_name or the page title. |
| contactPageUrls | The pages where contacts were found, so you can check them. |

### How it works

1. Opens the homepage (falls back to plain HTTP for old websites).
2. Finds contact-like pages in any common language: contact, about, team, legal notice, impressum, mentions legales, kontakt, contacto, chi siamo and more.
3. Scans up to *Max pages per website* pages, contact pages first, and stops early once an email and a phone are found (optional).
4. Merges and de-duplicates everything into a single row per website.

No browser is used, so runs are fast and cheap: hundreds of websites per minute with the default settings.

### Input

- **Websites**: domains or URLs (acme.com, https://www.acme.com/en/). Duplicates are removed automatically.
- **Websites (plain list)**: same thing, easier to paste from a spreadsheet.
- **Max pages per website** (default 6), **Stop early when email and phone are found** (default on), **Also scan other pages** (default off).
- **Default country for phone numbers**: used to read local numbers on .com / .net websites. Country domains (.fr, .de, .co.uk...) are detected automatically.

### Output example

```
{
  "inputUrl": "https://boulangerie-dupont.fr",
  "url": "https://www.boulangerie-dupont.fr/",
  "domain": "boulangerie-dupont.fr",
  "companyName": "Boulangerie Dupont",
  "emails": ["bonjour@boulangerie-dupont.fr"],
  "phones": [{ "number": "+33296112233", "display": "02 96 11 22 33" }],
  "socials": {
    "facebook": ["https://www.facebook.com/boulangeriedupont"],
    "instagram": ["https://instagram.com/boulangerie.dupont"]
  },
  "addresses": ["1 rue du Port, 22000, Saint-Brieuc, FR"],
  "contactPageUrls": ["https://www.boulangerie-dupont.fr/contact/"],
  "pagesCrawled": 2,
  "error": null
}
```

Export to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets, or send results to Make, n8n, Zapier, HubSpot or your own app through the Apify API and integrations.

### Pricing

Pay per website with contacts found: one flat price per row that contains at least one email, phone or social profile. No charge per page, no charge for empty or unreachable websites. You can set a maximum cost per run in the run options.

### Use with AI agents

This Actor is available through the Apify MCP server, so AI agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) can enrich a list of companies with contact details in one call.

### Responsible use

The Actor only reads publicly available pages of the websites you provide. Contact details of individuals can be personal data: make sure you have a legitimate reason to process them and respect the GDPR, CAN-SPAM and the rules that apply where you operate.

### Support and custom work

Found a website where contacts are missed? Open an issue on the Actor page with the URL and it will be fixed. Need a custom extractor or an integration with your tools? Contact **cardeagatescontact@gmail.com** - [Cardea Gates](https://cardeagates.netlify.app/).

# Actor input Schema

## `startUrls` (type: `array`):

Company websites to scan. A domain like acme.com is enough. One result is returned per website.

## `websites` (type: `array`):

Alternative to the field above: paste domains or URLs, one per line. Handy for large lists from a spreadsheet.

## `maxPagesPerWebsite` (type: `integer`):

How many pages to open per website. The homepage is opened first, then contact, about, legal and team pages. 4 to 8 is enough for most websites.

## `stopWhenFound` (type: `boolean`):

Saves time on large lists: stops scanning a website once at least one email and one phone number were found.

## `crawlOtherPages` (type: `boolean`):

When on, pages that are not contact-like are scanned too (within the page limit). Useful for sites without a clear contact page.

## `defaultCountry` (type: `string`):

Two-letter country code used to read local phone numbers when the website's domain does not show the country (e.g. .com). Example: US, GB, FR, DE.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Higher is faster. Lower it if many websites fail with timeouts.

## `requestTimeoutSecs` (type: `integer`):

How long to wait for a page before giving up on it.

## `proxyConfiguration` (type: `object`):

Most company websites work without a proxy. Use Apify Proxy if you scan thousands of websites.
