## Pricing

from $2.50 / 1,000 results

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.
Since this Actor supports Apify Store discounts, the price gets lower the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Remote OK Jobs Scraper

**Remote jobs from Remote OK — with tags, locations, listed salaries, company logos and full descriptions — as clean JSON.**

[Remote OK](https://remoteok.com/) is one of the largest boards for remote work, with new jobs in
development, design, marketing, customer support, sales and more every day. This Actor reads Remote
OK's listings and returns every job: title, company and logo, tags, location, the salary range when
the employer lists one, the posting date, and the full description as HTML and plain text. Paste the
home page, a tag page such as `remote-dev-jobs`, or a single job URL; there is no login, no API key,
and no proxy to configure. Built for job aggregators, remote-work newsletters, recruiting and
talent-intelligence teams, and salary research.

All data comes from [Remote OK](https://remoteok.com/), and every job keeps its link back to its
page on Remote OK. If you republish the jobs, link to that page and name Remote OK as the source.

### ⚡ Quick start

```json
{
  "startUrls": [{ "url": "https://remoteok.com/remote-dev-jobs" }],
  "maxItems": 5
}
```

### 🧩 Input

| Field                 | Type    | Required | Default                      | Description                                                                                                                                                           |
| --------------------- | ------- | -------- | ---------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `startUrls`           | array   | yes      | —                            | Remote OK pages: the home page, a tag page (`remoteok.com/remote-<tag>-jobs`), several tags at once (`remote-python+react-jobs`), or a single job (`/remote-jobs/…`). |
| `maxItems` | integer | no | — | Maximum number of jobs per start URL. The input form starts at 5; leave it empty to get every job Remote OK lists for the page. |
| `includeCompanyLogos` | boolean | no | `true` | Open each job's page to read the company logo. Adds one fast request per job; turn it off when you don't need logos. |
| `proxyConfiguration`  | object  | no       | `{ "useApifyProxy": false }` | Proxy settings. Remote OK's public listings need no proxy.                                                                                                            |

**Choosing a page.** Open [remoteok.com](https://remoteok.com/), click a tag such as *Dev*,
*Design* or *Python*, and copy the address bar — for example `https://remoteok.com/remote-design-jobs`.
A page with two tags joined by `+` returns the jobs that carry both.

### 📤 Output

Each job is one dataset row.

### 💡 Use cases

- **Remote job aggregation** — feed job boards, newsletters and community channels with fresh remote jobs by tag.
- **Salary research** — collect the salary ranges employers list for remote roles, by tag and location.
- **Hiring signals** — watch which companies are hiring remotely, and for which skills, for sales prospecting or market research.
- **Recruiting intelligence** — track demand for a stack such as Python, React or Rust across remote employers.

### ❓ FAQ

- **Do I need an API key or a Remote OK account?** No. The Actor reads the same public listings any visitor sees.
- **Do I need a proxy?** No. It runs without one by default.
- **How many jobs does a page return?** Remote OK lists its most recent jobs for each page, about 100. Run the Actor on a schedule to build a longer history.
- **Why are some salaries empty?** Employers choose whether to list a salary. `salaryMin` and `salaryMax` are `null` when the job lists none.
- **Can I combine tags?** Yes. `https://remoteok.com/remote-python+react-jobs` returns jobs tagged with both. To cover several tags separately, add one URL per tag; `maxItems` applies to each one.
- **Can I reuse the data?** Remote OK asks that you link back to each job's page on Remote OK and mention Remote OK as the source. Every row keeps that link in `url`.
- **Why did a run return fewer jobs than expected?** The tag may have few recent jobs, or the tag in the URL may be misspelled; the log says when a page lists no jobs. Open an issue if something looks off.

Remote OK pages, such as https://remoteok.com/remote-dev-jobs, https://remoteok.com/remote-python+react-jobs (jobs with both tags), the home page https://remoteok.com/, or a single job URL (https://remoteok.com/remote-jobs/…).

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Maximum number of jobs to return per start URL. Leave empty to get every job Remote OK lists for the page.
