## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get Airbnb search results for any location and dates as clean, structured rows. Type a location, pick your dates and guests, or paste search URLs from your browser, and the Actor returns one row per listing with name, property type, price in the currency you choose, rating and number of reviews, bedrooms, beds and baths, coordinates, badges such as Guest favorite or Superhost, and photos. Filter by price, room type and bedrooms. Schedule it and every run flags new listings and price changes.

No login, no browser, no proxies on your side: the Actor reads the same data Airbnb embeds in its search page, so it is fast and cheap. You pay $0.0005 per listing returned.

### What you get

One Dataset row per listing:

- `name`, `title` (for example `Rental unit in Madrid`), `propertyType`, `city`, `url`, `id`.
- `priceText`, `price`, `priceQualifier` (`total` for the stay when dates are given, otherwise what Airbnb shows), `pricePerNight`, `originalPrice` when discounted, `currency`.
- `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `badges`, `isGuestFavorite`, `isSuperhost`.
- `bedrooms` (0 for studios), `beds`, `baths`.
- `latitude`, `longitude`, `photo`, `photos`.
- `search`, `location`, `checkin`, `checkout`, `nights`: where the row comes from.
- `isNew` and `previousPrice`: what changed since the previous run of that search.

A search with no results returns no rows and is not charged. A search that cannot be read gives a single row with an `error` field, also free.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. In **Locations** type one per line, as on Airbnb: `Madrid, Spain`, `Lisbon`, `Brooklyn, New York`. Or paste **Search URLs** copied from your browser; their own filters apply.
3. Set **Check-in**, **Check-out** and **Adults** to get the total price for the stay. Without dates Airbnb returns indicative prices.
4. Pick the **Currency** and, optionally, min and max price per night, **Room type** and **Min bedrooms**.
5. Set **Max listings per search** (default 50) and click **Start**. Read the rows in **Output** or export them as JSON, CSV or Excel.
6. To monitor a market, schedule the Actor (daily or hourly). New listings come with `isNew: true` and repriced ones with `previousPrice`; connect a webhook or an email integration to be notified.

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **Listing scraped**: $0.0005 per listing row. 1,000 listings cost $0.50.
- **Listing changed**: $0.002 per listing flagged as new or repriced in a scheduled run. Runs with no changes only pay for the rows.

Searches that cannot be read or return nothing are free. Compare with typical Airbnb scrapers at $1 or more per 1,000 listings.

### Use it as an API

Run it from your code with the Apify API or client libraries:

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/aolmo~airbnb-listings/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"locations": ["Lisbon, Portugal"], "checkin": "2026-12-05", "checkout": "2026-12-08", "adults": 2, "currency": "EUR"}'
```

The response is the list of listing rows. You can also call it from AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

### FAQ

**Is the price the total or per night?** With dates it is the total for the stay (`priceQualifier: total`) and `pricePerNight` divides it by the nights. Without dates Airbnb shows an indicative price, usually per night.

**Does it include the listing description, amenities or host details?** Not in this version: it returns what the search results contain, which keeps it fast and cheap. Open `url` for the full page.

**How many listings can one search return?** Airbnb paginates up to about 270 results per search. Narrow by dates, price or room type, or split a city into neighbourhoods, to cover more.

**Which currencies work?** Any Airbnb supports: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, MXN, BRL...

**Where is the data stored between runs?** In a Key-Value Store of your account named `micro-saas-state-airbnb-listings`, one key per search. Delete it to start fresh.
