## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape Amazon search results and Best Sellers lists on any marketplace. Type search terms (or paste Best Sellers URLs) and the Actor returns one row per product in ranking order: ASIN, title, price and list price, rating and number of ratings, image, Sponsored, Prime, Amazon's Choice and Best Seller flags, units bought last month and coupon, with sort options and up to 300 products per search. Perfect for product research, keyword rank tracking, competitor monitoring, pricing intelligence and building product lists to enrich with **Amazon Product Scraper**.

No Amazon API key, no browser. You pay $0.001 per product.

### What you get

One Dataset row per product:

- `position` (rank in the results), `asin`, `title`, `url`, `image`.
- `price`, `currency`, `listPrice`, `couponText`.
- `rating`, `ratingsCount`.
- `isSponsored`, `isPrime`, `isAmazonChoice`, `isBestSeller`, `boughtLastMonth` (for example "5K+ bought in past month").
- `query`, `domain`.
- `isNew`: `true` for products that were not in the previous run of the same search.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add one search per line in **Search terms or Best Sellers URLs**: `wireless headphones`, or a list such as `https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics/zgbs/electronics/`.
3. Choose the **Marketplace** (amazon.com, amazon.de, amazon.co.uk...), **Max products per search** and **Sort by**.
4. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Schedule it to track rankings: new products arrive with `isNew: true`, and `position` tells you where each product ranks over time.

Amazon limits how fast one source can read its pages, so the Actor spaces its requests: count on roughly 5 seconds per results page of 48 products.

### Input

```json
{
  "queries": ["wireless headphones", "https://www.amazon.com/Best-Sellers-Electronics/zgbs/electronics/"],
  "domain": "amazon.com",
  "maxResults": 48,
  "sort": "relevance"
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `queries` | Search terms or Best Sellers URLs. Up to 50 per run. |
| `domain` | Marketplace for search terms (default `amazon.com`). |
| `maxResults` | Products per search, 1 to 300. Default 48. |
| `sort` | `relevance`, `price-asc`, `price-desc`, `rating`, `newest` or `bestsellers`. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "query": "wireless headphones",
  "domain": "amazon.com",
  "position": 1,
  "asin": "B09XPX59JK",
  "price": 19.99,
  "currency": "$",
  "listPrice": 29.99,
  "rating": 4.3,
  "ratingsCount": 1100,
  "isSponsored": false,
  "isAmazonChoice": true,
  "boughtLastMonth": "5K+ bought in past month",
  "url": "https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09XPX59JK",
  "isNew": false
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **Product found**: $0.001 per product. 1,000 products cost $1.
- **New product**: $0.002 per product that enters a scheduled search for the first time.

Searches that cannot be read are free.

### Use it as an API

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/aolmo~amazon-search/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"queries": ["wireless headphones"], "domain": "amazon.com", "maxResults": 48}'
```

### FAQ

**Can I get the full details of each product?** Yes: send the `asin` column to Amazon Product Scraper for bullets, images, Best Sellers Rank, variants and specifications.

**Does it include sponsored products?** Yes, flagged with `isSponsored: true`, so you can keep or filter them.

**How many results per search?** Up to 300 (about 7 pages). Best Sellers lists have 100 products in 2 pages.

**Why does the number of ratings look rounded?** Amazon shows rounded counts in search results (1.1K). Product pages have exact counts.

**Where is the data stored between runs?** In a Key-Value Store of your account named `micro-saas-state-amazon-search`, one key per search.
