## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Export the reviews of any iOS app from the Apple App Store by URL or app id: rating, title, text, author, date, app version and country, plus the app name, developer, average rating and ratings count. Any store country, newest or most helpful first, one row per review. Product feedback analysis, competitor monitoring, sentiment datasets and support triage at $0.0002 per review.

The Actor reads Apple's public review feed and the public app page; no Apple account, API key or device is needed. Schedule it and new reviews are flagged with `isNew`.

### What you get

**Review** (one row each): `id`, `author`, `rating` (1 to 5), `title`, `text`, `date`, `version`, `helpfulCount`, `url`, `country`.

**App** on every row: `appId`, `appName`, `developer`, `appRating`, `appRatingsCount`, `store` (`appstore`).

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for reviews that were not in the previous run of the same app.

Apps that do not exist in the chosen country or could not be read return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Apps**, one per line (up to 500 per run): `https://apps.apple.com/us/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997` or `310633997`. A URL with its own country (`/es/app/...`) keeps that country.
3. Choose the **Country** of the store, the **Order** (newest or most helpful) and **Max reviews per app** (up to 500).
4. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Schedule the Actor to collect new reviews as they arrive.

### Input

```json
{
  "apps": ["https://apps.apple.com/us/app/whatsapp-messenger/id310633997", "310633997"],
  "country": "us",
  "sort": "newest",
  "maxReviews": 100
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "store": "appstore",
  "appId": "310633997",
  "appName": "WhatsApp Messenger",
  "date": "2026-10-20T09:32:44.000Z",
  "version": "26.38.74",
  "helpfulCount": 95,
  "isNew": false,
  "timestamp": "2026-10-21T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0002 per review** and **$0.0005 per new review** detected on a scheduled run. Apps that cannot be read are free. 500 reviews of 20 apps cost $2.00.

### Limits and notes

- Apple serves at most the 500 most recent or most helpful reviews per app and country; run the Actor per country to collect more.
- Developer replies are not part of Apple's public feed, so `developerReply` is empty.
- Google Play apps are not accepted here: use the **App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper** for Android packages.
- The Actor never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.

### Related Actors

- **App Store & Google Play Reviews Scraper**: both stores in one Actor.
- **Google Play Reviews Scraper**: Android reviews with developer replies.
- **Product Page Scraper & Price Monitor**: product details and prices of any online store.
