## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape public Bluesky profiles and their posts without login, API key or browser. Give handles or profile URLs and get the profile (followers, follows, posts count, bio, avatar, banner, creation date) and one row per post with likes, reposts, replies, quotes, bookmarks, text, date, language, images, video thumbnail, link cards and quoted posts, newest first, up to 1,000 posts per profile. Replies and reposts are optional. Schedule it and new posts are flagged. Social listening, creator research, brand monitoring and dataset building at $0.0005 per post.

The Actor uses the public AT Protocol endpoints every Bluesky client reads (`public.api.bsky.app`), so it is fast and puts no account at risk. Post search needs a session and is not included.

### What you get

**Post** (one row each): `uri`, `url`, `cid`, `text`, `createdAt`, `likes`, `reposts`, `replies`, `quotes`, `bookmarks`, `langs`, `isReply`, `isRepost`, `repostedFrom`, `authorHandle`, `authorDisplayName`, `images`, `videoThumbnail`, `externalUrl`, `externalTitle`, `quotedUri`.

**Profile** on every row: `profileHandle`, `profileUrl`, `profileDisplayName`, `profileDid`, `followers`, `follows`, `postsCount`. With **Max posts** set to 0 (or an account without posts) you get a single profile row with `description`, `avatar`, `banner` and `profileCreatedAt`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for posts that were not in the previous run of the same profile.

Profiles that do not exist or are suspended return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Handles or profile URLs**, one per line (up to 1,000 per run): `bsky.app`, `name.bsky.social`, `@name.bsky.social`, `did:plc:...` or `https://bsky.app/profile/name.bsky.social`.
3. Set **Max posts per profile** and choose whether to include replies and reposts.
4. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Schedule the Actor to be notified when an account posts.

### Input

```json
{
  "handles": ["bsky.app", "https://bsky.app/profile/jay.bsky.team"],
  "maxPosts": 50,
  "includeReplies": false,
  "includeReposts": false
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "profileHandle": "bsky.app",
  "profileUrl": "https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.app",
  "profileDisplayName": "Bluesky",
  "followers": 4200000,
  "follows": 12,
  "postsCount": 980,
  "url": "https://bsky.app/profile/bsky.app/post/3myfsmerpmk2z",
  "text": "New in the app today...",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-21T18:44:55.442Z",
  "likes": 522,
  "reposts": 45,
  "replies": 33,
  "quotes": 10,
  "isReply": false,
  "isRepost": false,
  "isNew": false,
  "timestamp": "2026-10-22T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per post** and **$0.001 per new post** detected on a scheduled run. A profile without posts counts as one post; accounts that cannot be read are free. The 100 latest posts of 50 accounts cost $2.50.

### Limits and notes

- Counters are live values from the network at the time of the run.
- The author feed lists posts newest first; pages of 100 are read until **Max posts**.
- Keyword search of posts requires a Bluesky session and is not offered.

### Related Actors

- **Threads Profile Scraper**, **X (Twitter) Profile Scraper**, **Instagram Profile Scraper**: the same for other networks.
- **Telegram Channel Scraper**: posts of public Telegram channels.
