## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

You already scraped Google Maps and got names, addresses and phone numbers. This Actor adds what Maps does not give you: the emails, social profiles, legal name, VAT id and technology stack of each business, read from its own website. Point it at the Dataset of any finished Google Maps scraper run (for example Google Maps Scraper by compass) and get one enriched row per place, ready for your CRM or outreach tool.

Everything comes from the businesses' websites, with plain HTTP requests: no browser, no proxies, no third-party data vendors. You pay only for places where something was found.

### What you get

One Dataset row per place, with the original Maps fields and the enrichment:

- From Google Maps: `placeTitle`, `category`, `rating`, `reviewsCount`, `placePhone`, `placeAddress`, `mapsUrl`, plus the whole original item under `place`.
- Contacts from the website: `emails` (each with `mxValid`, the domain can receive mail), `phones`, `socials` (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram...).
- Company data: `name`, `legalName`, `vatId`, `addressText`, `country`, `language`, `description`, `logo`.
- Technology: `technologies` (`{ name, category }`), `cms`, `ecommerce`: WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, PrestaShop, Wix, Squarespace, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, HubSpot, Stripe and 40 more signatures.

Places without a website, or whose website cannot be fetched, are returned with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Run any Google Maps scraper on Apify and wait for it to finish.
2. Open this Actor's **Input** tab and, in **Google Maps dataset**, pick the Dataset of that run (the picker lists your datasets). Alternatively paste place objects in **Places (JSON)** or plain URLs in **Website URLs**.
3. Optionally change **Max pages per website** (6 by default) and **Validate email domains**.
4. Click **Start**. Export the result as CSV or Excel, or send it to your CRM with an integration.
5. To automate it, chain both Actors: schedule the Maps scraper and add this Actor as the next step with the dataset id of the run.

### Input

```json
{
  "datasetId": "aBcDeFgHiJkLmNoPq",
  "maxPages": 6,
  "validateEmails": true
}
```

| Field            | Description |
|------------------|-------------|
| `datasetId`      | Dataset of a finished Google Maps scraper run. Items need a `website` field (`title`, `phone`, `address`, `categoryName`, `totalScore`, `reviewsCount`, `url`, `placeId` are kept when present). Up to 1,000 places per run. |
| `places` | Alternative: array of place objects in the same format. |
| `websites`       | Alternative: plain website URLs. |
| `maxPages` | Pages read per website, home page included. Default 6, maximum 30. |
| `validateEmails` | Default `true`. Adds `mxValid` to every email by checking the domain's MX records. |

### Output example

  "timestamp": "2026-10-03T17:00:00.000Z"
}
```
### Pricing
You pay per enriched place, nothing else:
- **Place enriched** ($0.004): one place where at least some data was found on its website (contacts, company data or technologies).
- **Profile changed** ($0.005): only in scheduled runs, when a place's profile changed since the previous run.
- **Actor start** ($0.00005): Apify's standard start fee.
Places without a website, with an unreachable website or with nothing found are free. 1,000 enriched places cost $4. Email finders charge $0.01 to $0.02 per email.
### Use it as an API
```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/USERNAME~google-maps-enrich/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"places":[{"title":"Acme","website":"acme-logistica.example","phone":"+34 912 345 678"}]}'
```
Replace `USERNAME~google-maps-enrich` with the Actor id shown on this page. For a whole dataset, pass `{"datasetId":"..."}` to the asynchronous `/runs` endpoint and read the Dataset when the run finishes.
### FAQ
**Does it scrape Google Maps?** No. It starts from data you already have, from any Maps scraper or your own list, and visits each business website. That is what keeps it fast, cheap and reliable.
**Many places have no email.** Some businesses only publish a contact form, or their site is rendered only with JavaScript. Those rows still carry the Maps data and the phone, and they are free when nothing is found.
**Can I run it on other datasets?** Yes: any dataset whose items have a `website` (or `url`) field works, for example lists exported from other tools.
**Does it respect robots.txt?** Yes. Pages disallowed for all crawlers are skipped.
**Is anything bypassed?** No. Plain requests to public pages, never to private or internal addresses, and no evasion of anti-bot systems.
