## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get the open jobs of any company straight from its career page, as clean structured rows. Paste the public job board URLs of the companies you follow and the Actor reads the ATS behind each one through its public API: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Recruitee and Personio. One row per job, with title, location, department, employment type, remote flag, publish date and link. Filter by keyword or location, and schedule it to get new jobs flagged the moment they appear.

No browser, no proxies, no scraping of HTML: the data comes from the same endpoints the career pages use, so it is complete, fast and cheap. You pay $0.001 per job returned after your filters.

### What you get

One Dataset row per job:

- `title`, `url`, `applyUrl`, `location`, `department`, `team`, `employmentType`, `remote`, `publishedAt`, `updatedAt`, `id`.
- `board`, `ats`, `company`: where the job comes from.
- `isNew`: `true` when the job was not there in the previous run of that board (scheduled monitoring).
- `description`: plain text of the job ad, only when **Include job description** is on.

A board that cannot be read (unknown company, ATS down) produces a single row with an `error` field and is not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. In **Job boards** paste one URL per line, exactly as you see it in the browser: `https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe`, `https://jobs.lever.co/palantir`, `https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion`, `https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/Company`, `https://apply.workable.com/company`, `https://company.recruitee.com`, `https://company.jobs.personio.de`. The shorthand `greenhouse/stripe` also works.
3. Optionally set **Keyword** (for example `engineer`) and **Location** (for example `London` or `remote`).
4. Click **Start**. Read the rows in **Output** or export them as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. To track openings, schedule the Actor (hourly or daily). Every run compares each board with the previous one; new jobs come with `isNew: true` and you can connect a webhook or an email integration to be notified.

### Input

```json
{
  "boards": ["https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe", "lever/palantir"],
  "query": "engineer",
  "location": "remote",
  "includeDescription": false,
  "maxJobs": 500
}
```

| Field                | Description |
|----------------------|-------------|
| `boards` | Public job board URLs or `ats/company` shorthands. Up to 50 per run. |
| `query` | Optional. Keeps jobs whose title, department or team contains the text. |
| `location` | Optional. Keeps jobs whose location contains the text; `remote` keeps remote jobs. |
| `includeDescription` | Default `false`. Adds the job ad as plain text (up to 4,000 characters). |
| `maxJobs` | Default 500, maximum 2,000 per board, applied after filters. Caps what you pay. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "board": "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir",
  "ats": "lever",
  "company": "palantir",
  "id": "6ed76ce8-4156-4b60-b120-403538bd66cd",
  "title": "Administrative Business Partner",
  "url": "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir/6ed76ce8-4156-4b60-b120-403538bd66cd",
  "applyUrl": "https://jobs.lever.co/palantir/6ed76ce8-4156-4b60-b120-403538bd66cd/apply",
  "location": "Singapore, Singapore",
  "department": null,
  "team": "Administrative",
  "employmentType": "Full-time",
  "remote": false,
  "publishedAt": "2026-08-11T20:18:11.368Z",
  "isNew": false,
  "timestamp": "2026-10-02T21:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

You pay per job, nothing else:

- **Job fetched** ($0.001): one job returned after your filters. 1,000 jobs cost $1.
- **New job** ($0.005): only in scheduled runs, each job that appeared since the previous run of that board.
- **Actor start** ($0.00005): Apify's standard start fee.

Boards with no matching jobs and boards that fail are free. Comparable Actors charge $0.0025 to $0.012 per job.

### Use it as an API

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/USERNAME~jobs-ats/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"boards":["https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe"],"query":"engineer","maxJobs":100}'
```

Replace `USERNAME~jobs-ats` with the Actor id shown on this page. The call returns the job rows directly. The Actor is also available to AI agents through Apify's MCP integration.

### FAQ

**How do I find a company's job board URL?** Open its careers page and click any job: the address bar shows the ATS (`boards.greenhouse.io/company`, `jobs.lever.co/company`, `jobs.ashbyhq.com/company`...). Companies that host their own careers page on Workday, SAP or Taleo are not supported.

**The board returned zero jobs.** Either the company has no open roles on that ATS, the slug is wrong, or your filters removed everything. Boards with zero jobs are free.

**Why is `department` empty for some Greenhouse boards?** Greenhouse only returns departments together with the job content. Turn on **Include job description** to get both.

**Can I get the full job description?** Yes, enable **Include job description**. It is plain text, up to 4,000 characters per job.

**Is anything bypassed?** No. The Actor only calls the public, unauthenticated job board APIs that the career pages themselves use.

# Actor input Schema

## `boards` (type: `array`):

One per line. Either the public job board URL (https://boards.greenhouse.io/stripe, https://jobs.lever.co/palantir, https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/notion, https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/Company, https://apply.workable.com/company, https://company.recruitee.com, https://company.jobs.personio.de) or the shorthand ats/company (greenhouse/stripe).

## `query` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keeps only jobs whose title, department or team contains this text (case-insensitive), e.g. engineer.

## `location` (type: `string`):

Optional. Keeps only jobs whose location contains this text, e.g. London. Use remote to keep remote jobs.

## `includeDescription` (type: `boolean`):

Adds the job description as plain text (up to 4,000 characters). Slower on big boards.

## `maxJobs` (type: `integer`):

After filters. Also caps what you pay per board.

## `product` (type: `string`):

Internal. Leave as is.
