## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Find the people who work at any company on LinkedIn without cookies, without a LinkedIn account and without Sales Navigator. Give it company names or LinkedIn company URLs, optionally job titles and a city, and the Actor returns one row per employee: name, headline, current company, education, location, connections and LinkedIn profile URL. Build account-based prospect lists, map decision makers, recruit from competitors and track new hires.

The Actor finds public LinkedIn profiles through a web search engine, so your own LinkedIn account is never at risk. You pay $0.002 per employee found.

### What you get

One Dataset row per person:

- `name`, `headline` (title and company as the person writes it), `currentCompany`, `education`, `location`, `connections`, `countryCode`.
- `profileUrl`: clean `https://www.linkedin.com/in/...` link, ready for LinkedIn Profile Scraper.
- `isCurrent`: `true` when the headline or current job shows the company.
- `company`, `companyUrl`, `searchJobTitle`, `searchLocation`, `position`, `snippet`.
- `isNew`: `true` for people who were not in the previous run of the same search (new hires).

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Companies**: a name (`Stripe`) or the LinkedIn company URL (`https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe`) for an exact match.
3. Optionally add **Job titles** (`engineer`, `sales`, `marketing`, `CEO`...): the Actor runs one search per company and title, up to 30 people each.
4. Optionally set a **Location** and click **Start**.
5. Schedule it monthly to get the new people at each company (`isNew: true`).

For the full profile of each person (experience, education, skills), send the `profileUrl` column to LinkedIn Profile Scraper.

### Input

| `location` | Optional city, region or country. |

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **Employee found**: $0.002 per person. 1,000 employees cost $2.
- **New employee**: $0.003 per person who appears in a scheduled search for the first time.

Searches that return nobody are free. Other LinkedIn employee scrapers charge $3 to $10 per 1,000 profiles.

### Use it as an API

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/aolmo~linkedin-company-employees/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companies": ["Stripe"], "jobTitles": ["engineer"]}'
```

### FAQ

**Do I need a LinkedIn account?** No.

**Can I get every employee of a big company?** Each search returns up to 30 people. Combine job titles and locations to cover more of the company.

**Why do some people have an old job?** Search results can lag behind profile changes. Run the URLs through LinkedIn Profile Scraper for the current data.

**Is it legal?** It reads only public data. You are responsible for using personal data lawfully (for example GDPR in the EU).
