## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape LinkedIn company pages without cookies, without a LinkedIn account and without logging in. Paste company URLs and the Actor returns one clean row per company: industry, company size, employees on LinkedIn, headquarters and full address, website, year founded, company type, specialties, followers, logo, all office locations, similar companies, a few employees and the latest posts. Ideal for lead enrichment, account-based marketing, market maps and CRM hygiene.

The Actor reads the public company page that LinkedIn shows to logged-out visitors. You pay $0.002 per company.

### What you get

One Dataset row per company:

- `name`, `tagline`, `description`, `website`, `logo`, `coverImage`.
- `industry`, `companySize` (for example "1,001-5,000 employees"), `employeesOnLinkedin` (exact number of members who work there).
- `headquarters` and `address` (street, city, region, postal code, country code).
- `companyType`, `founded`, `specialties`, `followers`.
- `locations` (every office, with the primary one flagged).
- `similarPages` and `affiliatedPages` (name, URL, industry, location): great to discover more accounts.
- `employeesPreview` (people LinkedIn shows on the public page) and `recentPosts` (URL, date, text, likes).
- `changed`: `true` when name, tagline, website, industry, size or headquarters changed since the previous run.

Pages that do not exist return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Paste company URLs in **Company URLs**, one per line: `https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe`, `https://es.linkedin.com/company/stripe/about/` or just `stripe`. Showcase and school pages work too.
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule it to track company changes and headcount over time.

### Input

```json
{
  "companyUrls": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe", "openai"]
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `companyUrls` | LinkedIn company, showcase or school URLs, or the name from the URL. Up to 1,000 per run. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "name": "Stripe",
  "tagline": "Help increase the GDP of the internet.",
  "website": "https://stripe.com",
  "industry": "Technology, Information and Internet",
  "companySize": "5,001-10,000 employees",
  "employeesOnLinkedin": 16609,
  "headquarters": "South San Francisco, California",
  "companyType": "Privately Held",
  "founded": 2010,
  "followers": 1759023,
  "locations": [{ "address": "354 Oyster Point Blvd, South San Francisco, California 94080, US", "primary": true }],
  "companyUrl": "https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **Company scraped**: $0.002 per company. 1,000 companies cost $2.
- **Company changed**: $0.002 per company whose name, tagline, website, industry, size or headquarters changed since the previous scheduled run.

Pages that cannot be read are free. Other LinkedIn company scrapers charge $4 to $5 per 1,000 companies.

### Use it as an API

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/aolmo~linkedin-company/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"companyUrls": ["https://www.linkedin.com/company/stripe"]}'
```

You can also call it from AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

### FAQ

**Do I need a LinkedIn account or cookies?** No. The Actor reads the public company page.

**Can I search companies by name?** Use the name from the company URL (`linkedin.com/company/<name>`). For a list of company names, a web search for "site:linkedin.com/company name" gives you the URLs.

**Why is the number of employees different from the company size?** `companySize` is the range the company declares; `employeesOnLinkedin` counts the members who list it as their employer.

**Where is the data stored between runs?** In a Key-Value Store of your account named `micro-saas-state-linkedin-company`, one key per company.
