## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Read Polymarket prediction market data without an API key or a wallet. Choose the markets with most volume in the last 24 hours, a topic such as politics or crypto, or a single event, and the Actor returns one row per market with the question, outcomes, probabilities, last trade, bid and ask, spread, volume, liquidity, dates and resolution rules. Schedule it and markets whose odds moved since the previous run are reported with the difference. Forecasting research, news and sentiment signals, dashboards and datasets at $0.0005 per market.

This Actor only reads public data. It does not place orders or connect to any wallet, and its output is not financial advice.

### What you get

**Market** (one row each): `id`, `question`, `url`, `eventTitle`, `eventSlug`, `outcomes`, `probabilities`, `leadingOutcome`, `leadingProbability`, `lastTradePrice`, `bestBid`, `bestAsk`, `spread`, `volume`, `volume24h`, `volume1w`, `liquidity`, `startDate`, `endDate`, `active`, `closed`, `resolutionSource`, `description`, `position`.

**Source** on every row: `source`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `probabilityChange` is the change of the first outcome since the previous run (null on the first run).

Events that do not exist return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Sources**, one per line (up to 200 per run): `top` for the markets with most 24-hour volume, `tag:politics` or `tag:crypto` for a topic, or an event as `https://polymarket.com/event/<slug>` or its slug.
3. Set **Max markets per source** (up to 500).
4. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Schedule the Actor to follow how the odds move.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per market** and **$0.0005 per market whose odds moved** on a scheduled run. Unknown events are free. Top 50 markets every hour cost at most $1.20 a day.

### Limits and notes

- Probabilities are the outcome prices published by Polymarket, from 0 to 1.
- Order books and trade history are not included.
- A `tag:` source reads the 20 open events with most 24-hour volume in that topic and returns their markets up to your limit.
