## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get remote job listings merged from four public job boards: Jobicy, Remote OK, We Work Remotely and Arbeitnow. Filter by keyword and location and the Actor returns one row per job, newest first and without duplicates, with title, company, location, type, tags, salary when published, date and description. Every row names its source and links to the original job. Schedule it and jobs that appear since the previous run are flagged. Job boards, newsletters, remote work alerts and market research at $0.001 per job.

### What you get

**Job** (one row each): `source`, `sourceUrl`, `url`, `title`, `company`, `companyLogo`, `location`, `employmentType`, `seniority`, `category`, `tags`, `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryPeriod`, `postedAt`, `description`, `position`, `id`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for jobs that were not in the results in the previous run.

If one board is down the run continues with the others.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Optionally add **Keywords**, such as `developer` or `marketing`: a job matches if any of them is in its title, company, category or tags.
3. Optionally add **Locations**, such as `Europe` or `USA`, and choose **Sources**.
4. Set **Max jobs**.
5. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
6. Schedule the Actor to get alerts on new jobs.

### Input

```json
{
  "keywords": ["developer", "engineer"],
  "locations": ["Europe", "Worldwide"],
  "sources": ["jobicy", "remoteok", "weworkremotely", "arbeitnow"],
  "maxJobs": 200
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "position": 1,
  "id": "weworkremotely:acme-senior-data-engineer",
  "source": "We Work Remotely",
  "sourceUrl": "https://weworkremotely.com",
  "url": "https://weworkremotely.com/remote-jobs/acme-senior-data-engineer",
  "title": "Senior Data Engineer",
  "company": "ACME",
  "location": "USA Only",
  "employmentType": "Full-Time",
  "category": "Full-Stack Programming",
  "tags": ["Python", "AWS"],
  "salaryMin": null,
  "salaryMax": null,
  "postedAt": "2026-11-01T10:00:00.000Z",
  "description": "We are looking for a senior data engineer...",
  "isNew": false,
  "timestamp": "2026-11-01T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001 per job** and **$0.002 per new job** detected on a scheduled run. A run of 200 jobs costs $0.20.

### Attribution

The jobs belong to the boards they come from. If you publish them, credit the board named in `source` with a visible link and send applicants to the original `url`, as the boards ask. Remote OK asks for a followed link back and a mention of its name, and its logo needs its written permission. Check each board's terms for your use.

### Limits and notes

- The boards publish their latest jobs, not their whole archive, so a run returns up to several hundred. Scheduled runs build the history.
- Salary is present only when the board publishes it. Remote OK salaries are treated as yearly USD.
- `location` is free text from each board, which is why the filter looks for the words you give.
- `description` is plain text cut at 5,000 characters.

### Related Actors

- **Dice Scraper**: tech jobs in the US.
- **StepStone Scraper**: jobs in Germany.
- **Company Jobs API**: jobs from company career pages.
