## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Export job listings from StepStone, one of the largest job boards in Germany. Give keywords with a location, or search URLs with your filters, and the Actor returns one row per job with title, company, location, salary range, posting and expiry dates, snippet, benefits and skills, following the result pages automatically. Schedule it and jobs that appear since the previous run are flagged. Recruiting research, salary benchmarks, lead generation and job alerts at $0.001 per job.

### What you get

**Job** (one row each): `id`, `url`, `title`, `companyName`, `companyId`, `companyUrl`, `companyLogoUrl`, `location`, `postCode`, `workFromHome`, `datePosted`, `expiresAt`, `salaryMin`, `salaryMax`, `salaryPeriod`, `salaryCurrency`, `salaryIsEstimate`, `snippet`, `benefits`, `skills`, `labels`, `isSponsored`, `isTopJob`, `section`, `position`.

**Search** on every row: `search` (the URL used) and `totalCount`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for jobs that were not in the search in the previous run.

Searches without results return nothing and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Keywords or search URLs**, one per line (up to 100 per run): `software engineer` or a URL copied from the browser such as `https://www.stepstone.de/jobs/python/in-koeln?radius=30`, which keeps your filters.
3. Set the **Location** for keywords, such as `Berlin`.
4. Set **Max jobs per search** (25 per page, up to 2,500).
5. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
6. Schedule the Actor to get alerts on new jobs.

### Input

```json
{
  "searches": ["software engineer", "https://www.stepstone.de/jobs/python/in-koeln?radius=30"],
  "location": "Berlin",
}
```

}
```
### Pricing
Pay per event: **$0.001 per job** and **$0.002 per new job** detected on a scheduled run. Empty searches are free. A search of 1,000 jobs costs $1.00.
### Limits and notes
- Most salary ranges are estimates by StepStone and not figures from the employer: `salaryIsEstimate` is true on those. Treat them as a guide.
- Only stepstone.de is supported.
- `section` tells where the job comes from: `main` matches the search and others are related results StepStone adds.
- The full job description is on the job page and is not opened; `snippet` is the summary from the results.
### Related Actors
- **LinkedIn Jobs Scraper**: job listings from LinkedIn.
