## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape any public Threads post by URL without logging in, without API keys and without cookies. Paste post URLs and get the post with its text, date, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, media and link, followed by one row per reply Threads shows to visitors (about 20 per post) with author, text, date, likes and reply depth, including the author's own follow-up posts in the thread. Schedule it and new replies are flagged: conversation monitoring, community management, brand mentions and content research at $0.0005 per row.

The Actor reads exactly what Threads renders for a logged-out visitor on the post page. No login, no API quota.

### What you get

**First row, the post** (`kind: "post"`): `code`, `url`, `author`, `text`, `takenAt`, `type` (text, image, video or carousel), `likes`, `replies`, `reposts`, `quotes`, `reshares`, `image`, `videoUrl`, `mediaCount`, `linkUrl`, `quotedPostCode`, `repostedPostCode`, `topic`, `isPinned`.

**Then one row per reply** (`kind: "reply"`): the same fields plus `replyTo` (username replied to), `depth` (1 direct reply, 2 reply to a reply), `isAuthorPost` (true for the author's follow-up posts in the thread) and `position`.

**Thread**: `threadCode`, `threadUrl`, `threadAuthor`, `repliesTotal` (as Threads counts them), `repliesFound` (replies in the rows).

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for replies that were not among the visible replies in the previous run (null on the first run).

Posts that do not exist, were removed or belong to private accounts return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Post URLs**: `https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/DeZtp-TkQHh`, one per line (up to 500 per run; threads.net links work too).
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule the Actor to be notified of new replies on the posts you follow.

### Input

```json
{
  "postUrls": ["https://www.threads.com/@zuck/post/DeZtp-TkQHh"]
}
```

### Output

```json
{
  "threadCode": "DeZtp-TkQHh",
  "threadAuthor": "zuck",
  "repliesTotal": 1240,
  "repliesFound": 21,
  "kind": "reply",
  "position": 1,
  "author": "cristi.baluta",
  "text": "Congrats on the launch!",
  "takenAt": "2026-10-11T08:30:00.000Z",
  "likes": 15,
  "replies": 2,
  "replyTo": "zuck",
  "depth": 1,
  "isAuthorPost": false,
  "isNew": null,
  "timestamp": "2026-10-19T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per row** (the post and each reply) and **$0.001 per new reply** detected on a scheduled run. Posts that cannot be read are free. A post with 20 replies costs about $0.01.

### Limits and notes

- Threads shows visitors a selection of replies (about 20, the most relevant) without pagination. The Actor does not log in to load more.
- Only public posts; private accounts come back as an error row (free).
- The Actor never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.

### Related Actors

- **Threads Profile Scraper**: followers, bio and the latest posts of a profile.
- **Threads Search Scraper**: posts by keyword or tag.
- **Instagram Post Scraper**, **X Tweet Scraper**, **Facebook Post Scraper**: the same on other networks.
