## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape public Threads profiles without logging in, without API keys and without cookies. Paste usernames or profile URLs and get one row per profile with followers, threads count, full name, bio, bio links, verified badge, topics and the latest posts with text, date, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, media and links. Schedule it and every row carries the growth since the previous run: creator tracking, brand monitoring, lead enrichment and competitor benchmarks at $0.001 per profile.

The Actor reads exactly what Threads shows to a logged-out visitor on the profile page, so results are the public numbers you see in the browser.

### What you get

**Profile**:

- `username`, `fullName`, `id`, `url`, `avatar`.
- `followers`, `threads` (posts count as published on the page).
- `bio`, `bioLinks` (title and URL), `externalUrl` (the first one), `topics` (the profile tags shown under the bio).
- `verified`, `private`.

**Latest posts** (`latestPosts`, newest first, typically 10): `id`, `code`, `url`, `text`, `takenAt`, `type` (`text`, `image`, `video` or `carousel`), `likes`, `replies`, `reposts`, `quotes`, `reshares`, `isReply`, `replyTo`, `isPinned`, `username`, `image`, `videoUrl`, `mediaCount`, `linkUrl` (link preview), `quotedPostCode`, `repostedPostCode`, `topic`.

**Growth** on scheduled runs: `followersChange`, `threadsChange` (null on the first run).

Accounts that do not exist or are private return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Usernames or profile URLs**: `zuck`, `@nasa` or `https://www.threads.com/@mosseri`, one per line (up to 1,000 per run).
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule the Actor (for example daily) to track follower growth and new posts.

### Input

```json
{
  "usernames": ["zuck", "nasa"]
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `usernames` | Threads usernames, `@usernames` or profile URLs (threads.com or threads.net). Up to 1,000 per run. |

      "code": "DeZtp-TkQHh",

      "mediaCount": 1
    }
  ],
  "followersChange": 820,
  "threadsChange": 1
}
```
### Pricing
Pay per event, no subscription:
- **Profile scraped**: $0.001 per profile returned.
- **Stats changed**: $0.0005 per profile whose followers or threads count changed since the previous run (scheduled runs only).
Accounts that cannot be scraped are free. 1,000 profiles cost $1.
### Tips
- Threads accounts share the username with Instagram: pair this Actor with the **Instagram Profile Scraper** for a cross-platform view of a creator.
- Export `latestPosts` to JSON when you need the post list; CSV flattens it into one column per field.
- `replyTo` and `isReply` let you separate original posts from replies when measuring engagement.
### Limitations
- Threads shows logged-out visitors the latest posts of the profile only (around 10); older posts, replies tabs and followers lists are not available.
- Private profiles are not accessible.
- Media URLs are CDN links that expire after some days.
