## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Get the numbers behind any public TikTok video from its URL: plays, likes, comments, shares and saves, plus the caption with hashtags and mentions, the music, the author (username, nickname, followers, verified), the publish date, the duration and the cover image. No login, no cookies, no API key, no browser. Paste video URLs and get one row per video; schedule the Actor and every row carries how much each counter grew since the previous run. Campaign reporting, influencer vetting, trend tracking and content research at $0.001 per video.

The Actor reads what TikTok shows to a visitor who is not logged in. It never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.

### What you get

**Video** (one row each): `id`, `url`, `description` (caption), `hashtags`, `mentions`, `createdAt`, `duration`, `cover`, `views` (plays), `likes`, `comments`, `shares`, `saves`, `musicTitle`, `musicAuthor`, `musicOriginal`, `isAd`, `country`, `language`.

**Author** on every row: `username`, `nickname`, `authorVerified`, `authorFollowers`.

**Growth** on scheduled runs: `viewsChange`, `likesChange`, `commentsChange`, `sharesChange`, `savesChange` (null on the first run).

Videos that do not exist, were removed or are private return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Video URLs**, one per line (up to 1,000 per run): `https://www.tiktok.com/@user/video/1234567890123456789`.
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule the Actor to follow how a campaign's videos perform day by day.

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001 per video** and **$0.0005 per video whose counters changed** on a scheduled run. Videos that cannot be read are free. 1,000 videos cost $1.00.

### Limits and notes

- Counters are the rounded values TikTok shows publicly.
- The videos of a profile are not listed to visitors; give the video URLs you want to read (the **TikTok Profile Scraper** returns the profile counters).
- The Actor never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.

### Related Actors

- **TikTok Profile Scraper**: followers, likes and video count of a profile.
- **TikTok Comments Scraper**: comments of a video.
- **Instagram Post & Reel Scraper** and **YouTube Video Details Scraper**: the same for other platforms.
