## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape the latest posts of any public X (Twitter) profile without logging in, without API keys and without cookies. Paste usernames or profile URLs and get one row per post with text, date, replies, reposts, likes, views, images, video thumbnail, links, hashtags and mentions, for the posts X shows to visitors on the profile (about 5, the pinned post included). Schedule it and new posts are flagged: brand and competitor monitoring, news alerts, influencer reporting and content research at $0.0005 per post.

The Actor reads exactly what X renders on the profile page for a logged-out visitor. No login, no API quota.

### What you get

**Post** (one row each): `id`, `url`, `authorUsername`, `isRepost`, `isPinned`, `text`, `hashtags`, `mentions`, `links`, `createdAt`, `position`.

**Metrics**: `replies`, `reposts`, `likes`, `views` (X shows abbreviated counts to visitors, e.g. 1.4K or 2M, converted to numbers).

**Media**: `images`, `videoThumbnail`, `hasVideo`.

**Profile**: `username`, `profileUrl`, `tweetsFound`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for posts that were not among the latest posts in the previous run (null on the first run).

Profiles without visible posts return a single row with `tweetsFound: 0` and are not charged. Suspended or missing accounts return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Usernames or profile URLs**: `nasa`, `@NASA` or `https://x.com/nasa`, one per line (up to 1,000 per run).
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule the Actor (hourly, daily) to get a row with `isNew: true` for every new post of the profiles you follow.

### Input

```json
{
  "usernames": ["nasa", "https://x.com/elonmusk"]
}
```

### Output

One row per post:

```json
{
  "username": "nasa",
  "tweetsFound": 5,
  "position": 1,
  "id": "2111180963661435219",
  "url": "https://x.com/NASA/status/2111180963661435219",
  "authorUsername": "NASA",
  "isRepost": false,
  "text": "The aircraft lineup just keeps getting bigger. MAX POWER, a new aerospace expo, is set for Nov. 7-8 @NASAKennedy ...",
  "createdAt": "2026-10-16T03:42:20.000Z",
  "replies": 127,
  "reposts": 201,
  "likes": 1400,
  "views": 338000,
  "hasVideo": true,
  "isNew": null,
  "timestamp": "2026-10-18T10:00:00.000Z"
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.0005 per post** and **$0.001 per new post** detected on a scheduled run. Profiles without visible posts or that cannot be read are free. A run of 100 profiles costs about $0.25.

### Limits and notes

- X shows visitors only the latest posts of a profile (about 5, pinned included), with abbreviated counts. For exact counts of a single post use the **X Tweet Scraper**; for the profile's followers and totals use the **X Profile Scraper**.
- Only public profiles. Protected, suspended or missing accounts come back as an error row (free).
- The Actor never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.

### Related Actors

- **X Profile Scraper**: exact followers, following, posts count, bio and pinned post of a profile.
- **X Tweet Scraper**: exact likes, reposts, replies and media of any post by URL.
- **Threads Profile Scraper**, **Instagram Profile Scraper**: the same on other networks.
