## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

Scrape the stats of any YouTube channel by URL, @handle or channel id, without an API key and without quota limits. The Actor returns one row per channel: subscribers, total views, video count, joined date, country, description, external links, keywords, avatar, banner and verification badge. Schedule it and every row carries the growth of subscribers, videos and views since the previous run: creator analytics, influencer discovery and vetting, competitor tracking, sponsorship research and channel portfolios.

You pay $0.002 per channel.

### What you get

One Dataset row per channel:

- `channelId`, `handle`, `url`, `title`, `description`, `keywords`.
- `subscribers` (with `subscribersText` as YouTube shows it), `videos`, `totalViews`.
- `joinedAt`, `country`, `links` (title and URL of the channel links), `availableCountries`.
- `avatar`, `banner`, `isVerified`, `isFamilySafe`.
- `subscribersChange`, `videosChange`, `totalViewsChange`: growth since the previous run (null on the first run).

Channels that do not exist or are terminated return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Paste channels in **Channels**, one per line: `@MrBeast`, `https://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopers` or `UCX6OQ3DkcsbYNE6H8uQQuVA`.
3. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
4. Schedule it (for example weekly) to build growth curves for the channels you follow.

For the list of videos of a channel use **YouTube Channel & Search Scraper**; for each video's stats, **YouTube Video Details Scraper**.

### Input

```json
{
  "channels": ["@MrBeast", "https://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopers", "UCX6OQ3DkcsbYNE6H8uQQuVA"]
}
```

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| `channels` | Channel URLs, handles or ids. Up to 1,000 per run. |

### Output example

```json
{
  "channelId": "UCX6OQ3DkcsbYNE6H8uQQuVA",
  "handle": "@MrBeast",
  "url": "http://www.youtube.com/@MrBeast",
  "title": "MrBeast",
  "subscribers": 521000000,
  "country": "United States",
  "links": [{ "title": "Shop", "url": "mrbeast.store" }],
  "isVerified": true,
  "subscribersChange": null
}
```

### Pricing

Pay per event, no subscription:

- **Channel scraped**: $0.002 per channel. 1,000 channels cost $2.
- **Stats changed**: $0.001 per channel whose subscribers, videos or total views changed since the previous scheduled run.

Channels that cannot be read are free.

### Use it as an API

```bash
curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/aolmo~youtube-channel-stats/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"channels": ["@MrBeast"]}'
```

### FAQ

**Do I need a YouTube API key?** No, and there is no daily quota.

**Are subscriber counts exact?** YouTube publishes them rounded (521M, 4.55M); `subscribersText` keeps the original text. Total views and video counts are exact where YouTube shows them.

**Does it return the channel's email?** Only the links the channel lists publicly; the business email behind the "View email address" button requires a Google account.

**Where is the data stored between runs?** In a Key-Value Store of your account named `micro-saas-state-youtube-channel-stats`, one key per channel.
