## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

List every video of a YouTube channel, newest first, without an API key or quota. Give channel handles, URLs or ids and get one row per video with title, views, publish date, duration, thumbnail and link, plus the channel name, id and subscribers on every row. Content audits, competitor tracking, creator research, dataset building and upload monitoring at $0.001 per video.

The Actor reads the public Videos tab of the channel exactly as YouTube serves it to a visitor and follows its pages up to the limit you set (up to 2,000 videos per channel). Schedule it and new uploads are flagged with `isNew`.

### What you get

**Video** (one row each): `position` (1 = newest), `id`, `url`, `title`, `durationText`, `durationSeconds`, `views`, `viewsText`, `publishedText`, `publishedAt` (approximate ISO date computed from the relative text), `thumbnailUrl`, `isLive`.

**Channel** on every row: `channelId`, `channelName`, `channelUrl`, `channelSubscribers`, `source`.

**Changes** on scheduled runs: `isNew` is true for videos that were not in the previous run of the same channel.

Channels that do not exist or could not be read return a row with an `error` field and are not charged.

### How to use it

1. Open the **Input** tab.
2. Add **Channels**, one per line (up to 500 per run): `@GoogleDevelopers`, `https://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopers`, `https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_x5XG1OV2P6uZZ5FSM9Ttw` or the channel id.
3. Set **Max videos per channel** (also caps what you pay).
4. Click **Start** and export the rows as JSON, CSV or Excel.
5. Schedule the Actor to be notified of new uploads.

{
  "channels": ["https://www.youtube.com/@GoogleDevelopers", "@MrBeast"],

### Pricing

Pay per event: **$0.001 per video** and **$0.002 per new video** detected on a scheduled run. Channels that cannot be read are free. The 100 latest videos of 50 channels cost $5.00.

### Limits and notes

- Views and dates are the rounded values YouTube shows on the channel page ("484K views", "2 days ago"); use the **YouTube Video Details Scraper** for exact counts, likes and descriptions.
- Shorts and live streams listed in the Videos tab are included; the Shorts tab is not read.
- The Actor never bypasses logins, CAPTCHAs or rate limits.
