## Pricing

Pay per usage

This Actor is paid per platform usage. The Actor is free to use, and you only pay for the Apify platform usage, which gets cheaper the higher subscription plan you have.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

# README

# Actor input Schema

## `tickers` (type: `array`):

SEC tickers to extract filings for (e.g. AAPL, MSFT, BRK.A). At least one of tickers, ciks or companyNames is required.

## `ciks` (type: `array`):

SEC CIKs to extract filings for (numeric, up to 10 digits, e.g. 320193 for Apple). At least one of tickers, ciks or companyNames is required.

## `formTypes` (type: `array`):

Filing types to extract: 10-K (annual report), 10-Q (quarterly report), 8-K (current report), 13F-HR, 4, 3, 5, SD, 10-KT, 10-QT — every form present in the SEC recent submissions feed. Defaults to 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K.

## `companyNames` (type: `array`):

Company names resolved to SEC CIKs via company_tickers.json (case-insensitive exact match on the registered title; prefix match fallback; first match wins). Can be combined with or replace tickers/ciks. Max 25.

## `lookbackDays` (type: `integer`):

How far back to look for filings, counting from today. Defaults to 90 days. Ignored when minFilingDate and maxFilingDate are both set.

## `minFilingDate` (type: `string`):

Earliest filing date (YYYY-MM-DD). When provided together with maxFilingDate, this date range replaces lookbackDays.

## `maxFilingDate` (type: `string`):

Latest filing date (YYYY-MM-DD). When provided together with minFilingDate, this date range replaces lookbackDays.

## `maxResultsTotal` (type: `integer`):

Hard cap on the total number of dataset items emitted per run.

## `maxResultsPerTicker` (type: `integer`):

Cap the number of filing chunks emitted per ticker/CIK in a single run.

## `textChunkMaxChars` (type: `integer`):

Maximum size of the excerpt returned per filing (500-8,000 characters). Default 1,800.
