$2.00 / 1,000 domains

This Actor is paid per event. You are not charged for the Apify platform usage, but only a fixed price for specific events.

## What's an Apify Actor?

An Actor is a serverless cloud program that runs on the Apify platform. It has two run modes.
In Batch mode, an Actor accepts a well-defined JSON input, performs an action which can take anything from a few seconds to a few hours,
and optionally produces a well-defined JSON output, datasets with results, or files in key-value store.
In Standby mode, an Actor provides a web server which can be used as a website, API, or an MCP server.

Apify vocabulary and the platform model are defined once, in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md.

## How to integrate an Actor?

If asked about integration, you help developers integrate Actors into their projects.
You adapt to their stack and deliver integrations that are safe, well-documented, and production-ready.

Do not guess an integration path. Every one of them is in the agent quickstart at https://apify.com/agents.md: the Apify MCP server, Agent Skills with the Apify CLI, the JavaScript and Python clients, the REST API, and the account-free path for an agent with no human to sign in. It also carries the rule on stating cost before the first paid run.

For examples already wired to this Actor's own input schema, see the [API](#api) section below.

Each client library has reference documentation the quickstart does not restate: [JavaScript/TypeScript](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/js/docs.md) (`npm install apify-client`) and [Python](https://docs.apify.com/api/client/python/docs.md) (`pip install apify-client`).

## Domain WHOIS, DNS & SSL Checker - Bulk Domain Intelligence

Bulk-check domains and get **one clean row per domain** combining:

- **WHOIS/RDAP**: registrar, IANA ID, created/updated/expiry dates, **domain age**, **days until expiry**, EPP status codes, nameservers, DNSSEC, and registration status (an unregistered domain gives `registered: false`).
- **DNS**: A, AAAA, NS, MX, TXT, CAA, SOA and the www CNAME, plus the **DNS hosting provider** (Cloudflare, Route 53, GoDaddy...) and the **email provider** (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoho, Proofpoint...).
- **Email security**: SPF (qualifier, includes, lookup count, >10 lookups warning), DMARC (policy, pct, reporting), DKIM (common selectors), MTA-STS, TLS-RPT, BIMI, and a **0-100 email security score**.
- **SSL/TLS certificate**: validity, issuer, valid-from/to, **days until expiry**, SANs, TLS version, cipher, key size and fingerprint.
- **HTTP/HTTPS**: status, HTTP-to-HTTPS redirect, final URL, HSTS and server header.
- **Alerts**: `DOMAIN_EXPIRING_SOON`, `SSL_EXPIRING_SOON`, `SSL_INVALID`, `NO_SPF`, `NO_DMARC`, `DMARC_POLICY_NONE`, `SPF_TOO_MANY_LOOKUPS`, `NO_DNSSEC`, `NO_HTTPS_REDIRECT`, `NO_HSTS`, `DOMAIN_NOT_REGISTERED`.

It uses official protocols only: **RDAP** (the ICANN-mandated successor of WHOIS, via the IANA bootstrap registry), DNS-over-HTTPS and direct TLS handshakes. No proxies, no third-party WHOIS APIs, no rate-limited port-43 scraping.

### Why this Actor

| | This Actor | Typical WHOIS / DNS Actors |
|---|---|---|
| WHOIS + DNS + email security + SSL + HTTP | **One row, one price** | Separate Actors |
| Expiry and security alerts | **Yes** | No |
| Email provider and DNS host detection | **Yes** | No |
| Price | **$2 / 1,000 domains** | $2.30 to $100 / 1,000 |

### Use cases

- **Domain portfolio monitoring**: catch expiring domains and certificates before they lapse. Schedule a daily run and alert on `alerts`.
- **Security and deliverability audits**: SPF/DMARC/DKIM posture for your own or your clients' domains.
- **Sales/lead qualification**: email provider (Google vs Microsoft), DNS host and domain age.
- **Due diligence, M\&A and brand protection**: registrar, age and status of lookalike or acquired domains.

### Pricing (pay per event)

**$0.002 per domain** ($2 per 1,000), whichever checks you pick. Invalid inputs are free error records.

### Privacy

Registrant personal data is redacted by registries under GDPR. We only return a registrant **organization** and **country** when the registry publishes them unredacted, and never personal names, emails or phone numbers. Registrar abuse contacts are role addresses.

# Actor input Schema

## `domains` (type: `array`):

Domains or URLs, e.g. stripe.com, https://www.example.org/page. Subdomains are reduced to the registrable domain.

## `domainsText` (type: `string`):

Paste many domains separated by new lines, spaces or commas.

## `checks` (type: `array`):

What to look up for each domain. The price is the same whichever checks you pick.

## `expiryAlertDays` (type: `integer`):

Flag DOMAIN_EXPIRING_SOON when the registration expires within this many days.

## `sslAlertDays` (type: `integer`):

Flag SSL_EXPIRING_SOON when the certificate expires within this many days.

## `maxConcurrency` (type: `integer`):

Domains processed in parallel.

## `maxItems` (type: `integer`):

Stop after this many domains (defaults to all inputs). You are only charged per domain returned.
